Hello lovely peeps, just a quickie, having a rest inbetween coats of paint being slathered on!! The walls, that is, not on me!! We are finally decorating the front room, yaay!! Looking good so far
mazzers, sorry to hear your happy bubble has burstI know you can do without the hassle. No pearls of wisdom to offer you, I wouldn't know what to do in your situation, but hope you get something sorted.
Can't believe Ted has been banned!! Hope you manage to find out more info, Serena. Maybe we should be starting a 'Bring back Ted' campaign?? I am amongst his many fans, he has uncovered & shared lots of really useful gems of information.
Anyway, back to the chocolate, I mean painting!!:rotfl: A woman's work is never done.
PS. Happy Anniversary to me & hubby today - 15 years hard labour!! :rotfl:0 -
Happy Anniversary sweets!
And well done on the painting :j
I too am concerned about Ted. I know he can get a bit stroppy on other threads but I've never seen anything worth a ban.
Hope you are all well n!

I'll try to remember it - G&B I'm ignorant what does PPR mean?
It stands for Posting Privileges Removed. I'm sure when i've seen people who have been PPR'd it says it beside their nameThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
hello all,
I've finally finished reading through every page of the two post!! took a while....
and I'm on day 3 of the induction. Decided to start it with my OH as living with a bloke gave me a free pass to eat like a pig!! It seems the only "diet" we can both be satisfied on and still loose weight (hopefully)
So I'm feeling a bit headachey and have awful breath! I'm scared to weigh myself because A) i didn't to begin with I just knew roughly andI don't think I could have lost any yet!!
Made delicious tikka and creme cheese chicken for lunch and also had two beautifully fresh poached eggs with a sausage for breakkie
anyway I wanted to thank all on here because the info has been second to none and has made this an easy transition. I shall be posting more soon!
p.s - lots of ted's posts were really interesting, what a shame he's been banned. I'd happily join a campaign to get him back!SPC5 #1651 total so far: £78.590 -
jw8725 who is the poster who contacted me said it was something to do with Ted not being in favour of the vaccination for swine flu ( think I agree with him there as it's only going to make one day's difference) and when I asked if we could get a petition or something going , he told me that the management on here have the right to ban someone with no discussion.
I think it's really a sad day.0 -
Congrats sweet on the 15 years
My son is determined to move, so all i can do is let him get on with it.
His father is going to bring lots of his things to me, to store for him.
I think he is trying to sell the large items, his friends have been advising him, and he is listening to them.
I have not had a very lc day, but it gave me lots of energy. I had to clean up after a very messy, clumsy carpenter, he can be a right liability, but his prices are fair and he has a kind heart.
I also pressure washed the patio ( a very messy job)
and the drive (42 ft long might i add, no mean feat) and did a pile of ironing, and.. its totm. I am such a martyr :rolleyes:0 -

I'm stunned and really sad if Ted has been banned. Has anyone any outside method of contacting him to make sure? If he really has then I can't see why we shouldn't write to MSE management to ask for him to be let back - one has to assume that someone complained for him to be bumped off and although its obviously management's decision who they let on or don't their decisions would hopefully be influenced by the opinions of their user community.0 -
From my information and the fact that Ted hasn't posted for a month, it is definite that he has been banned. I went on the Swine Flu thread but couldn't find any post of his re the vaccine so I guess they have deleted the post involved. I am only a newbie on here so I don't know the procedure to get Ted re-instated but I for one would back an appeal to the management.0

I've emailed Ted, and he gave me some links that he uses for information, and told me he sometimes posts to http://forum.lowcarber.org/There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

I'm a tad concerned that I'm going to make my boyfriend fat!!
We started the induction on Tuesday and he has had one banana everyday because he wouldn't let me throw them out and I felt awful telling him he couldn't have things.
Apart from that he's eaten exactly the same as me, all verry low carb. Is this going to stop him losing any weight? Or will it just hinder him a little? There are no more bananas left so he won't be having any more.
I'm moving back to my parents on sunday (credit crunch student woes!) and leaving him to do it alone - if he doesn't think he's losing weight I know he'll give up.....
what do you think? will it just slow things down?
On a brighter note I'm enjoying our food!!
B - 2 bacon rashers and a fried egg
L - Oopsie and hamburger with cheddar and mayo, with cabbage and radish coleslaw
D- we will be having tuna steak and prawns in coconut milk, lemon/lime juice, ginger with salad or green beans
your advice for my banana boyfriend would be good! xSPC5 #1651 total so far: £78.590
