    WOW.

When I hear about what folk have to put up with I feel my problems are so small.:o G&B, Gravity, Mazz - I have no one to look after, never mind anyone with serious problems. Hope you can all see a way through. I send my utmost love and good wishes for you.

mazzers - can you get one of his people to sell his stuff? Or organise something with the landlord? Some extra cash would be useful for him. Worst case get it all shipped your way and flog it :) Or get in touch with a house clearance place near there, get them to buy the lot, take it away and send a cheque?

Make sure you enjoy your night off! A little (lot) of what we fancy can do wonders, or at least take our minds off things ;)

    Much love

Had a great moneysaving trip to asda today after work. :j

Rump steak - loads for half price
    Chicken - £1.50 instead of a fiver
    Mushies 2x30p rather than 88p

    S'bin good!
Means that my lunches now include chicken rather than hot dogs - all to the good :) and the little kittymogs will get a good feed or two :T

Saving the steak for Fri or Sat, with the mushies and a little other veg.

We have to do the moneysaving bit as this Way Of Eating can seem v expensive, time to time :rotfl: On same subject, Asda are doing 500g beef mince £1! Got some. Going to try 'Cheeseburger pie' will post if it's any good :)

Also asda do nuts in 2 places. The ones to do with cooking stuff are much cheaper. ie pecans. 90g for £1.50 in snacks or 150g for £1-1.20 in cooking bit. Bet other supermarkets do similar, check it out.

    Off to check the chicken!

From Gt Yarmouth to Berkshire, he has friends all over the country as he has moved so often (he hates Wales, his paranoia leads him to believe people here are out to get him  )

He lives so far away its difficult to help him personally, and i'm not in contact with his father.
He said he cant take it with him as he has nowhere to store it, and cant afford storage.
No good trying to get any sense out of him, he's obviously [STRIKE]off his trolley[/STRIKE] not thinking clearly.

Dont mean to be flippant but i've had enough of it in the past, and have single handedly (his brothers were very young) moved him and his belongings so many times when he lived locally.
I know he's ill, but he just will not listen and cannot see sense.

Oh darling, that is such a worry for you. How old is he? Clealry old enough to make these decisions, despite his illness, and despite it being so very wrong.

Have a few bevvies, you deserve it.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Hi folks, my happy bubble has burst.
    Quicker than usual this time.

My eldest has decided he has to move asap as where he lives is making him ill (stomach pain)

He must be becoming unwell again :wall:

I think i should just run away and leave the three of them to get on with it before the stress puts me in an early grave

Hugs Mazzers, hope you and your family are ok.

Hi all, newbie to the thread here but not to the cause! Must admit haven't had time to trawl through the 200+ pages of this and prev thread but have had a look at the recipes and a random selection of pages.

Just had a couple of questions that sprang to mind from my limited readings.
Are the majority of you still counting calories as well as carbs?
Does anyone have a 'refeed' day once a week to boost the metabolism and avoid plateaus?

The reason I ask is I am on low-carb for weight training / body building purposes to shift some body fat whilst retaining the hard-earned muscle. I'm a member of the UK-Muscle forum and there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on there, a large percentage of whom strip stones of body fat each year for contest prep. The general consensus there seems to be that some kind of carb cycling is the most effective way for reducing body fat, so my current plan is 3 days low carb followed by 1 day 'normal' levels.

I also count calories within this so the 3 low days are at maintenance level minus 30% (1470 cals) and the 1 higher day is at maintenance level (2100 cals). Have only been doing this for a couple of weeks at the mo but initial signs look good!

Anyway, just a few thoughts I had! Seems like a lot of you are getting on well with what you are doing, and I can understand the trials and tribulations of eating this way so a support thread is a really good idea. Good luck everyone and I'll be lurking around from now on.

Btw, if you want to read anything about what I've mentioned, this is a good starting point

I just found one of Ted's posts and it doesnt say PPR in his profile:confused: I thought it usually told you if someone was PPR'd?

oh bother I just lost a whole posting by mucking about with the smilies!

I'll try to remember it - G&B I'm ignorant what does PPR mean?

I have been looking for Ted on various threads where he had previously posted but couldn't find him and came to the conclusion that he must be on holiday for a month.

Then today I got pm from someone saying he had been banned! I am very sad as I have learnt one hell of a lot from the man. He would do the hard work and read all the 'heavy stuff' then post it in layman's terms so that I could actually understand it all. He has really helped me with the lc woe and the nutritional side of things. He will be deeply missed. I just hope to get more details from the guy who pm'd me earlier and I will pass on any m,ore news.

Thanks for the info Yummymummy, i'm sure the weight training thread is very knowledgeable, if you find any more pearls of wisdom, please pass on, as some of us struggle to shift lbs.
The refeed day sounds very interesting, and one lady on here is doing the same sort of thing and has lost loads.

Good luck with your body building and thanks for the link.
