the worst part is the 5mins of kneading/QUOTE]

should i have a good lc brekkie or a high carb one?

I'm not sure either?? I would probably go on the side of the good lc brekkie because that's your WOE but I can understand your confusion. Hopefully someone like Ted or Mercy will advise.

    Well, good morning all :hello:

I love Sunday mornings :D Actually had a lie-in (still quite early but tis good for me :o) so feeling chilled & rested.

Making hubby scrambled eggs & smoked salmon as a Father's Day treat because last week didn't go very well in the Sweet household :o Can't remember why not, I probably had PMT & was horrible  Anyway, think I'll join him in the scrambled eggs but can't stand the texture of smoked salmon so will give that a miss.

Dinner tonight is steak pie (without the pastry for me) & I'll have mine with broc/cauli mash & a spoonful of peas.

Nothing exciting to report, still doing my wii fit for 30 mins & my 30 min walk, really enjoying getting out & nosing at what work the neighbours are getting done/what their gardens look like, lol!!

Hope everyone having a lovely weekend

I try to buy my fish in water or olive oil, as brine is too salty and I have cut out vegetable oil (too much omega 6).

Where do you (or anyone else) get the tuna in olive oil?? We don't have any in our Mr. T so I end up buying it in sunflower oil.

This article is extremely interesting! It's the first time I've heard of this and it totally makes sense, seems we've been trapped and are now struggling free. I'm both shocked and not surprised... if that makes sense, but all the more reason to continue the low carb thing.

I went to the indian last night, and cos i heard popadums were made from gram flour, i had one, (which wouldn't be too bad, if it was gram flour), but then i ate it dipped in mango chutney, among the other OK dips. I didn't get rice or bread with the meal, but I;m 2 lbs heavier this morning.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

Sweet, i love Sunday mornings too.
I have my coffee and lc toast in bed, then a bit of time on my lappy while joint is roasting, and sometimes, back to sleep for an hour or two.. bliss.

I'm not cooking a roast today, i rather fancy sweets pie tbh ;)

I had rather a good day in work yesterday, things make a lot more sense and i am more relaxed about doing the dispensing. (i pointed it out too, just incase no-one noticed )

Still a lot to take in, and as i have changed depts so many times in the last few years, i have been constantly training, and was feeling overloaded with info.

Seems things have sunk in without me realizing ;)

Focus, that is good, another 2lb, i've still only lost the 14 lb, and stalling is what has made me fed up.
I am going to research reversing IR as i'm sure it is slowing me down (nothing to do with the pizza) and i need to be a lot slimmer before my holiday in Sept.

Now you mention it I haven't had tuna in olive oil for a while, I most probably wouldn't buy it now as I think it was more expensive. I buy tuna in brine or spring water and rinse it in a colander. Ditto though, my search for 'olive' mayonnaise, I know Hellmans used to do it but can't find it now as I have tried to take out all the vegetable oils in my diet using only butter, coconut and olive.

Thanks mainly to Ted, I have become a food bore and have been regaling my colleagues and friends with my new diet - grains are evil and 'good' fats make you lose weight, and have been subject to ridicule and disbelief  But now they can actually see the weight loss, they have become more interested and I have several orders for coconut oil!

The trouble is that when you actually understand how certain conditions improve with a low carbohydrate diet it seems somehow immoral not to try to explain some of that science.

Hyperlipid does a good job of explaining How Ketones help Alzheimer's

For diabetic rats (streptozotocin induced) see how appetite skyrocketed on low fat but virtually normalised with increasing fat content (any fat) by the time fat got up to 25% of calories. The lower the fat content, the more hyperphagic (read HUNGRY) the rats became, the fatter they became too. It just reminded me of the cruelty of telling human diabetics to eat a low fat, high carbohydrate diet and then berating them for their gross gluttony.

People keep inventing the wheel but it keeps getting lost!
