Good morning everyone :hello:
Feeling a wee bit weary this morning but I still forced myself to do the wii fit for 30mins. Told me I'd lost another lb
Have to go shopping this morning so will hopefully fit my walk in this afternoon. Also have to fit my housework in today as I couldn't be @rsed to do any yesterday!! So much for me being Hyacinth Bucket!!I'm more her than Stepford Wife Nicole Kidman anyway
Hope everyone has a lovely day - yippee it's Friday!! (btw, where is yippee , she seems to have done a runner??)
See you all later :wave:0 -

Your cheating wasn't that bad.

Aww, just lost a post cos the phone rang and i took so long it logged me out.
Just showing my ugly mug, am going to the Range today for a little mosey.
Was lovely and sunny, but is now cold and windy0 -
Tut, tut, we were on page 2 again  where is everyone today?!
Have been out shopping & while I was out the heavens have opened & tis very grey & overcast nowbut I still have to go for my walk!! I suppose I could take a brolly but will be hard to swing my arms, I'll have to take turns!!
Having piri piri turkey for dinner tonight with salad, should be yum.
So glad it's Friday, I can have wine tonight :j Have managed to resist all week :A so a bit of binge drinking is in order methinks!!
Have a good weekend everyone.

Another Gary Taubes lecture online More or less the same talk as is available elsewhere but useful summary for those who haven't yet read Good Calories Bad Calories or The Diet Delusion as it's sold in the UK.
If you haven't time for the whole hour at the moment then skip to about slide 41 and go to slide 49. or 50 If you can get your head round that section you'll maybe understand why I'm so concerned about NOT raising insulin levels and why as both vitamin D3 and omega 3 both lower triglycerides it's important not to be deficient in either.
You can select the slides under the THUMBS tab.
I was particularly interested to hear what Taubes is now saying about fructose and HFCS. Slide 48 47minutes into the talk (you can use the Thumbnails to move straight to any particular part of the talk.
Fructose is the carbohydrate converted most efficiently into glyerol-3-phosphate
one of several reasons why fructose is consider the most lipogenic carbohydrate
Not on the slide but listening carefully you hear him say "it might be 90% of the problem"
Good explanation of Glycerol~3~phosphate metabolism here. Synthesis of Triglycerides from Metabolized Fructose Compounds In times of adequate glycogen storage, excess fructose conversion to triglycerides is the predominant fate of dietary fructose. Figure 7 illustrates this metabolic pathway. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Oh well, just me again
Had my dinner, was lovely but omg that piri piri is spicy hot!! Really enjoyed it though. Had it with HM coleslaw & that helped to cool things down a bit!!
Just thought I'd mention that the turkey I used was value turkey breast which was less than £4 for a huge pack in Mr. T. Really nice quality as well. I used half of it tonight for 4 people & have the same again in the freezer for another time. So 50p a portion, not bad
mazzers, I also got the half price chicken drumsticks/thighs you mentioned, but what do I do with them?! Just roast them??
Tis a lovely evening here, very warm but bloomin windy!! Went out for my walk at 2.30 pm, the sun was shining by then & I didn't even need a jacket.
One last thing, my Dad said it looked like I'd lost weight as my face looked slimmerSaid my cheekbones were noticeable
Bless him!!

Had a nice day, had a bit of shopping then went for lunch, went to a pub well known for the huge salads.
Omg, a huge dinner plate, choc a block with food, couldnt eat the beetroot, sweetcorn, or pineappledont ask, i have no idea why that was there, but had pickled cabbage, boiled egg, cheese, a large whole spring onion (made me laugh cos thats how my mum made salad) a whole celery stick, as well as the usual, lettuce, tom and cuc, and half a chicken in the middle.
Only managed half i'm afraid
Just had 2 pieces of brownie with a cuppa, lovely.
Def needs more choc or more splenda tho, didnt think at the time but i could have added some davinci syrup
Had to come home and have a couple of hours sleep
Oh, very conveniently forgot to mention the 7 or 8 chips i had with it :rolleyes:0
