I'm super tired too! Is it because i've not long started this, because its really off putting. Fell asleep on the sofa at about half eight last night and could barely drag myself out of bed this morning at 7. Really hope it passes or i might not be able to continue this WOE.

Hope the weather clears up for those going to the Oasis concert tonight, i'm in Edinburgh and it is miserable at the moment.

Its forecast heavy rain in Cardiff too and I'm going to see Take That tonight:(
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

    Morning you lot

I've been reading the thread every day but didnt have much to post about other than the day to day mundanity:o

But this morning got up and got on the scales and discovered I am only 10 measly pounds to target weight:jI reckon if I'm a good girl I can hit target in about three weeks.I'm trying to dig out a before and after pic for another website I post on.For some reason cant find a before pic but can find a sort of after pic so I thought I'd post it.Can I just say here I'm only 4'11 tall and set my target weight at 9 stone 13lbs so even when I hit target I will still be about a stone over my ideal weight.I started the LCing at 15 stone 2lbs so quite a weight loss

  • Morning all!
    I'm back, if just temporarily.
We have had problems with the boat. On Saturday we noticed the solar panel had stopped working. So 'is nibs spent the day in the engine compartment testing all the wires and stuff. It was the hottest day of the year and not a good day to be next to a tank of hot water. Couldn't get it fixed so decided to press on to Ile d'Aix on Sunday.
Once there, we were supposed to call the harbourmaster on the VHF, which I did, only to find the VHF wouldn't work. We eventually managed to get a hand-held to work but not before 'is nibs totally lost it in frustration, hit the cabin door really hard and broke it.
At 5am Monday morning the boat started to re-float having been aground at low water. The way we were positioned though was a bit ascew and mud and water started to come up through the cockpit drains. By now 'is nibs was convinced that the keel was caught on something and that the water would come back but the boat wouldn't re-float. Everything was eventually fine, it was just imagining things to be worse than they really are when it's night time.
So Monday morning saw us arriving at La Rochelle. 'is nibs decided to check the solar controller one more time and then had a fit because one of the batteries had swelled up to twice its size (should have been low-carbing!).
The upshot is we have to make a quick dash back to the UK to buy some more batteries and a solar controller and dash back again, leaving the boat here. Mazzers, are you sure you want to swap?

Good bit of news though, made some yoghurt the other night using an insulated mug. Delish! and very successful. Will be doing that again.
Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.
  • Just noticed a multi qoute message button, is it new?

Yes, but I'm boggered if I know how to use it!!:rotfl:

g&b, it probably is because you have just started, I find it really drains my energy when I first start low-carbing. Takes me a week or so to feel ok but it does get better.

Have you been eating enough?? Taking all the necessary vitamin supplements?? Drinking enough water etc??

That's great lesley, well done you!! :T

Btw, on both pics you look so young!! On the 'after' pic you can see the weight loss, you look narrower & definitely slimmer in the face.

Now dare I post pics?! :o

Gaye.. yes yes yes, sounds quite an adventure so far. :j

Lesley, mundanity is my middle name, and we all post a load of nonsense sometimes, i still love reading it though.
Also, although you look great now, you dont look that big in the before photo, and you were standing next to a skinny minnie, no insult intended btw.

You've done brilliantly though, and must be really chuffed.

I tend to feel really slim now that i haven't got a bloated stomach and my clothes are so loose, but, if i catch myself in a full length mirror, it soon brings me back to reality :rotfl:
