Onewing, hope you are enjoying your 'naughy nibbles' and anything else too seeing as you've not got the kids ;)

Daisy, how'd it go with your mate, how was the haircut? had to laugh at you doing your hair before you went, typical female :rotfl:

Marrow, love the kitten phase with cats, soo cute and playful.

I was going to invite my icing friends to my cave but I'm worried you might start eyeing up the sheep with a view to eating them. :rotfl:They cant be eaten...they are there to supply us with knickers. And vests. :rotfl:

    Sorry...alcohol has been taken. :D

    Hello!

I'm absolutely rubbish these days. WILL get around to posting the recipes I've seen and been pm'd about (ta hun)

I wonder if it's time to pass over the mantle of 'The One Who Does The Recipe List'? (please let me know if you're game :))

I really am quite carp these days. The week without the internet has let me get soft. (I heard a rumour that there's more to life than the internet! Can't be true! Can it?)

I haven't been to Asda since Monday :j Did a meal plan and got the stuff! Not been to the shop (Asda is THE best corner shop I ever had) And feel great! I was planning to go today but thought - you normally spend £20 there, so I didn't go tonight :) Don't care what offers they had on, I spent nowt :rotfl:

    Very happy!

I have spent some money this week though. £86.
For that I got a return flight to Switzerland in August and a weekend return to Wolves via nat express end o this month!

    Imagine my glee!

I am in somewhat of a quandary though. I can't think of anything to shop for this weekend  I am a compulsive but organised shopper. I normally have an idea what I'm going to compulsorily shop for. But no. I want for nowt.

May have to tackle the painting

Big love to all the good people!

    Good morning all :hello:

Saturday morning & I woke up at stupid o'clock!! Too hot & going mad with the thirst!! :rotfl: Had more than a little of the red stuff last night so am probably a wee bit dehydrated (& hung over)

Mercy, I won't volunteer to do the Recipe list as I'm thinking of doing a runner :o Won't go into details, but let's just say things are not quite working out on the low-carb front

Congrats on the bargain travel arrangements!! Swiss chocolate here you come!! Again!!

And well done on your meal planning & budgeting glory!! Mine might go a bit askew (is that right?? Or am I talking Michael?!) again this week as hubby & kids were talking BBQ for tonight if weather is nice. Atm it's wet outside but the sky definitely has a tinge of blue

Anyhoo, onewing, I hope you had a lovely evening with your voddie & chocolate :D Tis nice to have a child-free break occasionally although sounds like you still had one there!! Hope you managed to prise the xbox off OH!!

Btw, I'm so glad I know what alias is on about, all this talk of caves & sheep ............. :rotfl: Aaah, alcohol is a wonderful thing!!

Have a lovely weekend everyone, whatever you get up to

Ok...you know how I once said fessing up about things gets them 'out there' and so they are less of an issue? (Although granted, I was talking about food sins.) Well I want to fess up to feelings of acute flipping jealousy of Mercy and all the other peeps who have a life. :rotfl:I'm happy you are all getting to travel but I reserve the right to say it through gritted teeth. :rotfl:Just kidding, I shall think kind thoughts whilst I'm up my ladder painting my ceiling and putting in new door architraves and cupboard shelves etc.:D

I went to Asda this week too Mercy. We dont have one near us but I came across one whilst we were away for something else and I was amazed at how good some of the prices were compared to Tesco and Morrisons. I need to sort out our food budget as it's seriously running away from us right now and I'm considering travelling to Asda once a month or so to bulk shop. :undecided I dont have a huge freezer though and I'm a bit worried about the old 'buy more/eat more' thing going on.

Sweet....whatyoutalkingabout?! No, sorry, there will be no runners being done. Get your head round it. *folds arms, blocks doorway and shakes head*:naughty:

  • Tis a quiet day on here today

Don't blame you all though - it's been a gorgeous sunny day here :D Having a BBQ tonight, just waiting for hubby to get it sorted!! He's delaying it because he doesn't want to start drinking his lager (pre-requisite for barbies) too early but I'm wasting away with hunger!! :rotfl:

I went back to bed this morning & had another hour or so sleep so hopefully I'll stay awake a bit later than 7pm tonight!! Having said that, I will be having more of the red stuff tonight & that usually acts as a sedative so .............?!

Anyway, hope you all doing ok, wherever you are

    Hi all!

Has been nice weather here in sunny Bolton!

Even managed to get about an hour good sunbathing in (was out for hour n half :)) Nice and warm when shopping. Yes, of course I found something to buy, not painting just yet :D

Got a card for Dad's day next Sunday, no prezzie as yet, need inspiration. Also shopped sensibly for pretty much all I need to eat for next week :) Will be topping up on Bavarian Ham, Brie n lettuce tomorrow from Lidl. Wana stay away from the shop all next week again if poss. Did you know, tomatoes keep better at room temp than in the fridge? I checked it out last week and it seems to be true :j

Sweets - hope the weather cleared up nicely for bbq, I love bbqs!

alias - I have no life but when I travel :) At £75 return and no lodgings to pay I gonna do it :rotfl:
Also Asda is v good. My local store is q small and they've now stopped selling the catfood we want. To remedy this I get Tesco to deliver heavy stuff once a month, like cat food, strongbow, cat litter. I did try some of their other stuff this time, but mostly I rejected their produce as 'it's cheaper in Asda!'

    Big love to all!
