Marrowgirl thats awful, i'm so sorry. I love cats and have been really upset when mine have died.
Thanks for that link Ted, i love a good bit of science (just finished first year of a Maths degree).
Got my IPD book today so i'm starting strictly tomorrow, i have been low carbing but not strictly enough. I'm the kind of person who needs a rigid system or i wander off piste:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

hello everyone
Really sorry to hear about your cat marrowgirl, I lost my 16 year old dog in February. We had to have her put to sleep but at least we had a few days to prepare ourselves, what a shock you must have had
Ive not had a really good week. I had a bit of a gall bladder attack on Tuesday night. Tuesday morning I was in a rush so didnt have my boiled eggs as usual so morning tea break at work found me buying a wee snack pack of baby bel cheese. and for lunch I had a 3 cheese salad.
I find it really really difficult to give up on cheese
I thought I'd be ok with that but in the afternoon I could feel some twinges and couldnt wait to get home for painkillers and beetroot juice. Beetroot juice really works for me apparently if you sip a teaspoonful every hour during an attack it dilutes the bile in the gall bladder
Anyway, I've been scared to eat too much since so am really confused. I'm low carbing but am scared to eat anything fatty
Yesterday and today I've had exactly the same menu. I'm not hungry but I dont think I'm eating enough
B 2 boiled eggs with a tiny drop of full fat may0
L Stir fry veg, mostly peppers and mushrooms with 6 oz of diced steak (edit) I mean 6 oz;s over lunch and dinner ( Im not keen on red meat but am trying to improve my iron intake)
D As above
a small packet of peanuts thats lasted me 2 days.....absolutely unheard of
and a small bite.....well a biggish bite outta jammy doughnut tnite when I came home from badminton !!!!!
I;m doing a bit better on the drinking water though still having to try and remember to drink
I agree qbout Lidls greek yoghurt. I used to dollop loadsa syrup in it as a dessert........I assume Lyles syrup has hunners and thousands of carbs!!!!!
Speak sooncheerio hen0 -
Hello!
Sorry not been in lately, had internet probs. Not caught up, just checking in
I'm happy to report my Bro's 24th bday BBQ on Sunday (where I had potatoes and lots of wine) hasn't upset the cart too much. I've maintained the 11'6'' I had the week before
I've been good,(mostly) day to day low carbing isnt a prob once you train your shopping brain:D
Hope to catch up at the weekend, maybe do a lot of reading tomorrow night.
What with the weather and being unable to contact you lovely people, I've done a lot of gardening. It's all good
Big love from your ever loving Mercy!

marrowgirl - you have my deepest sympathies. I know how much it hurts to lose your cat. I've been lucky (?) in that my losses have been seen coming for a while. Never had a shocker, feel for you.
Big hugs and love. Take all the time you need. We're here when you want us.

After my last post at 8pm yesterday, i fell asleep and have just woke up, was very sad to read about marrows cat,.
Come back soon marrow0 -
Cant believe how much yesterday wore me out, was a very long day tho, up early, few chores before i went and not home til 7pm, shower and bed, hardly drunk any fluid and left the boys to cook a pizza.
Cardiff is a lovely city, got a bit of regeneration going on at the mo, will be fab when its done.
Bought some fruit from the market -- large punnet of huge strawberries for £1.50, 12 sweet, seedless tangerines for 50p and 1lb of cherries for £1.50, great stuff.
Cardiff castle is great too, (although, i've not been there for years, must arrange a visit ) the grounds have peacocks wandering around and they will shimmy up to you and spread their feathers, simply stunning (little show-offs.)
Going to keep carbs very low if i can this week, so will need to get food prepared today.0 -
