Mazzers -thanx for the info on IR. Its something I am concerned about because of the PCOS and the reason I am doing this diet. I pretty much have all the symptoms and since icing most of these have improved. I still have the giant bum but the hamster cheeks have gone! I was originally diagnosed with depression but 18 months later GP found out it was PCOS and IR instead! So thats why the meds weren't working!
So, this diet is a way of life for me now. Off to cook stuffed peppers, think i'm addicted to them but have to keep them away from OH or he scoffs the lot.

    Hello there people!

As you can imagine I've been secretly chuffed all day :) Well happy and being in good spirits makes everything easier. Thanks for all the congrats! Am now off work til Tuesday so very happy about that too. Will need to keep a reign on as weekends and hols are more difficult than more structured days. I have a thrombosis (gathering of clots) scheduled for Saturday :j By that I mean meeting up with good and nutty people :rotfl:

I really believe that becoming a fat burner is the way to go. For me that took the keto cocktail. Thanks onewingedangel for posting it again, you're a star!

Think the shock of finding out I was nearly 12 stone when I thought I was 'only' 11st2lbs got me in the right frame of mind to do it properly. That steely determination I have barely seen a glimmer of since my 20's has been polished up and is reflective of carbs :rotfl:

I am having the naughty thoughts of 'doing so well, let's eat cake and chocolate' but am resisting. Apart from the odd v dark square of choc, had them a few times last week so not worried but have to stay strong.

I still want 10.5 stone ideally and know that this weeks dramatic changes won't necessarily repeat themselves often :rotfl: Still it's a good start and I'm chuffed to bits!

Nah, if it smells ok, eat it.

Who actually decides when they think something is gonna be 'off' ??

Food smells bad when gone off so us cavemen knew not to eat it.
    Tis nature :D

Lol...and how do you tell if the food is bad if it's covered in garlic which masks the smell? :rotfl:

I've just had a chicken breast with mushrooms covered in garlic that is a week out of date. All I could smell was garlic. I did think there might have been a taste but dont know if it's in my mind or not.

Oh well...a dose of the runs can only help the losing.:rotfl:

Funny how I can eat the out of date chicken but not the egg.:D

Mercy...at the risk of asking a stupid question...the cocktail thing...is it just like drinking oil?

I tried to take caster oil when I was pregnant with the middle one and was well overdue as I'd been told it sometimes starts contractions. It didn't......but to this day I still gag at the memory. Dont think I could drink anything that was oily again.

    Bit of a catch up.

Lesley - I treat the keto cocktail as medicine. It might not be tasty (though it's not too bad) but it's doing me wonders. That coconoil site is now claiming that coconut oil will help us beat swineflu! Added bonus if they're right :rotfl:

Alias - I too am a terrible hoarder. I always feel better after a clear out then find a use for something I've chucked a mere 2 weeks later ;)

As for eggs, I'm with mazzers. Crack the egg into a clean cup and if it doesn't smell bad, cook and eat it. I've found making a big omlette (absolutely stuffed with veg and cheese and meat) and only having half gives the fridge a source of munchies. Also been having cold omlette for packed lunch with mayo and salad - v nice :D Don't forget, once you've cooked it you get an extended shelf life. Alternatively boil the remaining two and snack on them as egg mayonaisse up to a week later! :rotfl:

    Eggs are brill!

sweets - I think your posts are most entertaining too. You one lovely nutty woman!
