Hello all,
I'm still "icing" but still feeling miserable and hormonal (probably totm -new meds have messed it up) so will post when I have something positive to say.
Hello Alias....come down to the dark depths of moaning with me, there's plenty of room!
Congrats Gaye on the weight loss!
Nice Pix Sweet.
toodlepip for now. I'll be watching through the screen -put that slice of toast down!!"I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -

:rotfl: Lots of luck & positive vibes heading your way!!
Yeah...we're like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.(And probably the same shape.:rotfl:) Well I am anyway.
Had bacon and eggs for breakki (eggs fried in coconoil - smelt absolutely disgusting to me whilst cooking, but tasted ok) and just having a plate of chicken and cheese with mayo right now. Not exactly a well thought out meal I grant you but I'm really busy today and have only got time to grab and run. I'm emptying loads of bags and boxes which were stored whilst we were doing stuff in the house and it's taking forever to sort out what need binned/kept/filed. I will definitely be looking to employ a [STRIKE]slave[/STRIKE] kindly 'person Friday' to help when we win the lottery.
Slightly concerned about tonight as OH is on back shift again which means me, alone and very likely bored. Can see an early night with a book coming up again.
Btw sweet...those fishcakes look good.
mazzers...is it loud thunder? I've never heard loud rumbles for years. We dont seem to get too much in the way of thunder and lightening up here. In fact, it's sunny now.Herman - MP for all!0 -

Still horrible day tho.
Sweet, its nice to post pics cos others can see how good things look and give them a go.
I hate recipe books without pics, i have to fancy the look of something
Had some fish and a piece of strawb tart with a dollop of jersey cream.. mm
Didnt get time to make butter chicken as i made a curry for the boys, but is all prep'd ready for tomorrow.
Those fish cakes look fab.
Keep the piccies coming.
My tart base went soggy cos i added strawbs while still warm (had to have a piece before work), how did you make yours sweet??
Am off to work, back later..0 -

mazzers, it was your post about making strawberry tarts that reminded me I had taken photos of mine last week, with the sad intention of posting them on here!!
I used 2oz ground almonds, 1oz melted butter & 1 level tsp of splenda. Squashed the mixture into small buttered 'yorkshire puds' tray (enough for 6) & baked for about 12-15mins @ 200. Seemed to go brown almost immediately but I kept them in longer just to make sure they went solid.
Is that similar/same to how you do your's?? Think I looked at your recipe plus other's & came up with the above.
I know I keep saying it, but the stewed strawberries were the best bit!!0 -
Afternoon everyone
Migraine is finally easing and I have showered and dressed which always makes me feel better
I love the pics of the strawberry tarts.I think I might give them a go but you lot are talking about stewed strawbs. How and what did you stew them in?

Yeah, ok, but I'm Tweedle Dee & you're Tweedle Dum!!
Actually got my old size 16 jeans on today & managed to zip them up without using a coat hanger & without lying spreadeagled on the bed!! :rotfl: There is no way on earth I would wear them outside atm though, too much muffin top for my liking!!
Actually though, I was wearing my bather (swimsuit ) underneath, as I was having a 'trying on' session, & the bather definitely smoothed the bumps!! Made me think/remember that M&S used to do a lycra 'body' for wearing under jeans/trews etc?? Does anyone know what I mean?? It wasn't underwear (at least I don't think it was??) that you could wear with a flimsy shirt over the top if you wanted to, or just wear it as a 'top'?? It had hook & eye or button fastening at the crotch?? Don't know if they still do them/similar??
*tootles off to look at M&S website*
Will be back later with my findings :cool:0
