Ted, do u mind if i ask you how long iit took for yolu to lose so much weight?
    xx
I started the end of January last year and lost on average 2.25lbs a week just by doing the basic diet. So I was done by July. But at that time I was posting bits about intermittent fasting so I did a bit of that as well, just to see if it worked, and it did but by that time I was past my target to not particularly fussed.

I weighed myself first thing every morning and if I thought I was getting stuck I sometimes did a bit of Intermittent fasting but that wasn't very often. I wish I'd started using Coconut oil BEFORE I started low carbing. I think it helps with the changeover.

I also think it helped already being Vitamin D, omega3 and magnesium replete. All these help your metabolism to function as it evolved. I think having sufficient anti inflammatory agents help your body deal better with the pro inflammatory cytokines the adipose tissue are giving out so when you also start low carbing everything works better.

Thanks for that P&P info, mazzers. Very sneaky of them!! :naughty:

Will be the 'don't order at all' option methinks!! Their loss

Have had my HM fishpie & it was really nice. The only thing I would say is that my cauli mash could have been a bit smoother, really should get myself a hand blender one of these days!!

Off to get pudding now - raspberry & blueberry jelly fool (if it's set )

moomi, forgot to say, I echo what mazzers said - you really should finish your antibiotics. And if you have to go back for the other bit, don't put it off, better safe than sorry. Hope you ok.

  • Morning all,
Yay! 'Official' weigh in this morning - and I've now lost 1 1/2 stone! I know that isn't a lot compared to some but it's amazing for me! My original target was to lose a stone by my birthday in June so already I'm ahead of that. My next target is another 4 lb and then I will be below 10 stone for the first time in probably 15 years.
Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.

    Ok....I'm back. :o

I feel like ****, I'm tired, lethargic, got headaches.....and I've put on 11lbs. My left upper arm is also kinda sore (bit like the feeling you get when the Doc puts the blood pressure monitor cuff on you). I've been to the Doc about it but he's completely unconcerned and has no idea what it is, but it might be that the nerves in my arm are being pinched (by fat probably ). So I'm feeling all round sh*tty just now.

I was doing well, I dont know why I did this. I felt so much better without the carbs. Why do people push self destruct after a while? I'm not even that bothered about the weight (well maybe just a bit)...I just want to feel better again like I did when I was seriously lcing. (Saw someone else wrote 'lcing' and I read it as icing (like icing a cake?) and I've adopted it as my new word to confuse people with....

    'Oh...are you dieting?'

    'No...I'm icing'.

    :rotfl:

What? It made me laugh.:D

I've not been taking my vits either so I suspect I'm gonna be in for a rough few 'changeover' days. *sob*.

I will try not to moan...but tbh, I probably will. I have 'that' kind of head on iyswim.

I cant even join in with the nice recipes, cos I'm gonna have to go back to basics for the next 2 weeks.

Anyway, wish me luck...I'm really gonna need it.

    *waves to you all*
