it was 9.99 from h an b for 16oz the tub says.
just tried making a chicken and bacon omlette with it and it was amazing!!
I've read online about melting a little and using it as a moisturising oil and as a conditioner for hair, so i'll need to give that a go. Haven't tried it off a spoon yet though!!!
SweetSerendipity, it comes in a big tub and is solid. Melted a little in todays heat, but under a certain temperature it goes back to being solid again.
Yep, that's a pound. Sounds about right. I'm using that one at the mo.
I use it as a pre-wash hair conditioner a couple of times a week. I usually wash my hair in the evening so when I get in I comb a small amount of melted oil through and leave for about 3 hrs. It washes out very easily and leaves it lovely. I just use my normal wash and condition. Weekends I can leave it on all night before washing.
It's also good to have some warming for when you get out of the bath, slather it all overYou don't need much and it feels great as it's not too oily. Soaks in very nice
What is best is to take some out of the food tub and put into a different smaller container for body use. It melts easier when you want some and keeps things 'nice' :rotfl:

Was thinking about your salmon treats, are they fishcake like??
Would like to add some mashed cauli or mashed cauli/broc to the mix so they're not too fishy!!What do you think?? Do you reckon that will work?? Wasn't sure if I could add the usual butter/cream to the mash either??
The salmon treats aren't really like fishcakes as they are quite firm. Taste lovely dipped in mayo, though.
I think adding mashed cauli, unless you dried it off a lot, could interfere with the mix a bit. Make it wetter and more crumbly. Although if the proportions of egg, fish and cauli were right, it could be quite tasty
Maybe use less fish and compensate with dried mashed cauli? I cook the treats 1 mass in a pan then chop up as I go, bet your idea would work better as actual fishcakes. Though more as initially puddles of stuff till they firmed up a bit?
Do let us know if you try it! Sounds like a taste sensation :T

Funnily enough,my earlier encounter with the scales has galvanised me somewhat. The house is tidier and cleaner for it. It's almost like I've been waiting for a sign
Am defo upbeat, and caught a glimmer of the steely determination I posessed effortlessly at 20 :rotfl:

Yipeeee!

lol oops! i'm so dim when it comes the weight of things. I'll have to put some in a tub to pamper myself with!!
Has anyone noticed any difference to your skin since using coconut oil? i read on a website that if you use 3-4 tablespoons a day, along with assisting weightloss it gives you lovely soft skin. I ask as i have psoriasis which ive been trying to get rid of or at least shrink for years.

I have eczema on my legs (only since last year which is bizarre). Could it help with that? I'll have a look in the 'bio' shop tomorrow to see if I can get some. I don't remember seeing any. Would it be in fridge or on a shelf?Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0

Onewingedangel- I use coconut oil on my hair - I dollop some on then wrap in clingfilm, leave for 15 mins then rinse out. (making sure I don't answer the door!) Lovely shiney locks. I also put some on my feet before bedtime, pop on a pair of socks and in the morning lovely soft tootsies. Not sexy but definately moneysaving.
Oh dear, I fell into the tractor beam of a lush bar of Mr S dark (only 60%) choc with orange inclusions. Mmmm. Next thing I knew half the bar was gone. I wasn't even hungry it just looked so morish -and it was."I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -
