    Hello all,

I snack on cheese (babybel), almonds and sometimes peanut butter. I'm not at work though at the moment. If I was I would probably bring celery sticks/cucumber wedges to work with a nice cheesy dip. Mmmm.

I'm in a fab mood today (for a change). First, I've noticed my new meds (TOTM probs) seem to have curbed my hunger pangs, hurrah! Secondly, Mr Postie just dropped a letter through my letterbox to say I've won two tix to a "Queen Spectacular" for this Friday. Result!

    OMG. Having a trauma.

Weighed myself at work and I'm 10lbs or thereabouts heavier than I thought.

Not in such a good place as I've been putting weight on doing low carb and think I must re-think my plans.

I'll never go back to bread, it was the wheat thing that started all this :)

Must shrink. Eating however much I want is not working. Going to have to be a bit radical, I think. Exercise is definitely on the agenda now, lots of fat can't be. Won't do low fat, that's just rubbish, but must eat less. I can't cut carbs down any more than I have been doing :)

Will still be around and would be interested in your thoughts. Off to buy a proper set of scales, mine have been lying for some time now.

    Aww, Mercy, don't panic!!

Losing weight/shrinking is not the be all & end all. How do you feel in yourself?? Do you feel healthy?? Are you fairly fit??

Are you sure the work scales are accurate?? Maybe they are wrong & your's are right?? What about going to Boot's & using their weighing machine?? Think Asda have them as well??

Having said that, I still feel like the scales are the enemy now!!

Why not take some time out & do some research into different 'plans'?? You know you don't want to go back to eating bread so maybe adapt different ideas to suit you??

Keep posting though, hopefully other peeps will come up with more ideas.

Oh Mercy! Those scales must be wrong! You would know if you were 10lbs heavier.

Maybe you should write down what you're eating. it may be something little thats stopping the weight from shifting. Mine used to be carbonated drinks, even water!

    OWWWWWWWWW!

I was draining the boiled potatoes for OH's dinner, and boiling hot water spilled all over my belly, it's on fire and REALLY hurts. This is why CARBS ARE EVIL!!!

On another note, a few weeks back I used the sunbeds a few times as I heard it can clear up your spots (It didn't) but it's left me with some luuuuuurvly brown freckles on my nose, but it looks like the tip of my nose is dirty.....Thankfully I know they will fade eventually but Ill be slapping spf 60 on it from now on and no more sunbeds.

Mercy 10lbs seems quite a high difference, it can't be right. Do you feel/look 10lbs heavier? I bet ya don't.

I actually feel heavier than I ever have. I think this might be the kick up the !!!!! I need to actually do something. I didn't do low carb to lose weight initially. It was more avoiding bread. Then I got the low carb head. I know it's the best way to eat. Am going to look at the rest of my lifestyle, I have done a lot less lately than I used to.

I think my scales at home have 'stretched' and are showing less of a difference than they should. They are old, though. Think they've been giving me a false sense of security over the last couple of years at least. Reserved some of those flashy digital ones in argos, do muscle, fat etc. I don't want to obsess, but I would like a start point to guage improvements from. And there will be improvements :)

    Thanks all for the support!

MG - I'm glad you've posted this as sparkling water does this to me too and everyone says I'm mad:rolleyes:

Mercy - I agree with MG, look at what you are eating and I'm sure there will be something you are overdoing (too much dairy/coffee/nuts:confused:)

Button - I hope your belly is better:(

7 days til I go to Orlando (I'm more excited than the kiddies)...... so scared I'm not going to be able to resist the american sized carb portions:eek:.
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.
