    Hi all!

Again v good but alas no change in weight on Saturday. Still 11st 2lbs ish, varies between 11 and 11,2. BMI is 24.4 so maybe that's why I'm not losing? Mazzers, I think, said something about that.

Need to do something else, excercise is likely the way.

Bit naffed off, really. Need inspiration. Maybe badger had a point? I love this WOE and it really does suit me. Putting on 6lbs at hols, just with a week off, and then taking 4 weeks to get rid frightens me though. I don't want to be in the situ where going off piste will affect me so badly. Cutting carbs to less than 20g a day for 4 weeks isn't helping and I wonder if it's even a useful amount to be on long term?

Anyhoo, sunny day, brighter mood? Hope so :)

Hi all - hoping for some comments (not medical advice of course) as I'm wondering if I've got a bit carried away and am now taking rather more oily products than necessary.

I was just taking one 1000mg Bio-Fish Oil (which contains EPA 18% and DHA 12%). Plus vit D - the Biotics liquid - two drops one day, three the next (one drop contains 2000IU vit D)

Having gone for the annual boob checkup and complained of pain I was told to take rather large doses GLA so have now added one 1000mg Starflower Oil (contains 220g GLA) and one 1000mg Evening Primrose Oil (contains 90mg GLA)

Then - having achy, crackly joints - I decided to take Cod Liver oil so am taking one 550mg capsule (contains 46mg EPA, 41mg DHA, 5ug Vit D - I know its not ug but how do you type that weird thing?)

So what does anyone think? Have I got a bit carried away? Will I turn into a fish or an oil slick?
Just in case it has a bearing on any comments - I take some other things too:
    Vit C 1000mg per day (I'm a smoker)
Quercetin about 500mg per day (don't ask unless you want to be bored)
Glucosamin Sulphate (for the joints) 2000mg per day
    Plus all the prescribed nonsense

    And yes I do rattle!

    Hiya!

    I posted my supplements here

I rattle just like you do :)

Mercy - Is that maybe your "natural" weight? Exercise..... are you mad! :p

I'd love for my BMI to be 24, I don't think I've been a "healthy" weight since I was about 7, was always a bit of a porker. Mind you I'd rather I got my BMI down to about 22 but that would mean I'd need to get to 9st 7lbs, which to me seems unreal! My family would probably stick me in some eating disorder clinic If I got that slim!

Last time I saw my nana (I don't see them often) I was about 13stone, and before that she had seen me at my biggest 16st 11lbs, and when she saw me she didn't recognise me, asked me how much more I was going to loose and I said, Oh about 3stone probably, and she then started telling me that, it was TOO much and if I didn't watch myself I'd look like "thon Cheryl cole from the tv" - I WISH! ;)

Regarding spinach, I'm sure the big bag of it I got from Lidl at the weekend was only 50p, but not 100%, I remember picking it up from their 50p of the week section anyways!

Jumped on the scales today and it's went down a bit, so thankfully that gingerbread man binge didn't seem to do much damage.....I hope.

    Good morning all :hello:

Tis a lovely sunny morning here so hopefully I'll get out for a walk today.

Still feeling a bit irritable today, hoped I would be feeling all serene & smiley by now (as per IPD book ) but I woke up feeling hungry & grumpy!! hoppingmad.gif

Ah well, I know it will pass.

Thanks for the lunch ideas folks, yes I do sort of feel I have to have some greenery, rather than actually wanting to have it!! :o Sometimes I do like having a salad but think having it every day is 'doing my 'ead in' as they say!! :rotfl: Don't usually have dressing on it though so maybe that's something I should be doing to jazz it up, thanks for that idea. And thanks for the recipes, they all sound yummy!!

    My menu for today

    4 strawberries before brekkie
B - pork escalope & leftover egg mayo
L - to be decided?? But not salad!!
D - leftover bolognaise & broc/cauli mash with grated cheese

Will be doing a weekly meal plan later so will post that when it's done.

Have a good day everyone. :D

The pain is worth the gain (or should that be loss, but that doesn't rhyme?!) :rotfl:

Hopefully this is a time release formulation that releases the Vit C over 8hrs. If not next time make sure it is slow release. and perhaps consider 500mg twice daily or ideally every 8hrs.Once absorbed into the body the half life of Vit C is measured in minutes so if it's all absorbed at one and in your system 30~60minutes later then after a further couple of hrs the amount left at 50% depletion every 30mins is negligible.

Glucosamin Sulphate (for the joints) 2000mg per day
Only take this if you know for certain it works for you. There have been lots and lots of trials for this and the evidence swings both ways so all we can be certain of is that for a lot of people it is no better than placebo and for some it MAY be.

The Vit D amount in total will be absolutely fine even if we have a wonderful summer and you lay naked at noon every day building up good reserves for next winter and the possible second wave of guess what ;).

Dr Davis prefers people to be taking more than 3000mg daily of EPA + DHA and you will be approaching that, depending on how much oily fish or other sources of omega 3 you are actually eating.

I'd like to see some magnesium listed.

Mercy, wondered where you had been hiding :D

Please don't be disheartened by lack of weight loss, you are already a healthy bmi so that's good. You sound like you don't have that much to lose & that always seems to be when people start stalling

I'm not sure what the answer is, because I've never got to that stage :o, but if you enjoy the WOE then I would just carry on doing what you are doing & stay happy.

It could be 'a' natural weight. Don't call putting on a stone in 12 months v natural, but that's what's happened. Hope you can see why it doesn't feel natural :) Also why none of my clothes fit

    Need to do something.
