Read that as 'the hysterical way', which is probably more appropriate for some people!! :rotfl:

    Tis a madness sometimes!!

Please, please don't let my boobs grow on low-carb!! I have [STRIKE]more than[/STRIKE] quite enough, thank you!!

Lol at the jaw-dropping pole!! :rotfl:

Well, I am absolutely stuffed!! Have just had two quarter pounder burgers (eldest didn't want her's) with broc/cauli mash!! I was hungry!! :o

Do intend cutting down portion sizes once I get back into the swing of low-carb. Honest. Tis true. :D

But if my 'theory' is right that won't happen! They'l shrink as the rest of you does! Bet you're gorgeous anyway :)

Feed your hunger, low carbing is good for you and eating when you're hungry takes a bit of getting used to. As long as it's low c food, you are doing yourself (your body) a favour!

Glad your back on track! it's ace to see more ! and less :o in your messages! Love you honey! :j

    alias, yeah I'm happy

Wish you could get your head back in the right 'zone' though  I'm sure it would make you feel more up-beat & have a positive knock-on effect with other things in your life. Sorry, I should have flagged up a 'cheesy alert' icon there!! :o

mazzers, I have found toast to smell 'toasty' as well - weird that!! :rotfl:

Btw, do you need a cheesy pep talk?!

How much weight have you lost?? Did I see recently it was 11lbs now?? You don't want to put that back on do you??

In total I have lost 10lbs since January, but, it was 21lbs before I went off the rails  Quite shocking really.

And finally, Mercy, I think the 'hula hula' is a great idea to whittle your waist & is good aerobic exercise :D Let us know if you go ahead with it & see results.

This sermon has now ended :p

Mercy, you do say the nicest things ( to sweet i meant )

Sweet, i dont need a pep talk, :D i will be back on lc, honest, its just that my head has been in the shed, and as i hadnt eaten, i went off the rails a bit.
I actually like lc'ing now, but it is nice to have a day off.

The hardest meal for me is breakfast, I have never been a big fan of bacon and eggs, as i like toast or cereal in the morning but can cope with buttery scrambled eggs, and when i'm lc'ing i dont think about food, unlike when i'm hi carbing:rolleyes:

I think mercy is right about eating when you want it too, your body obviously needs it, i must try to eat more myself. (funny aint it, must try not to eat more when i'm on hi carbs)

I am not putting the 11lbs back on, not gonna weigh for a week just incase, cos if i have gained, will prob lose in a week.

An old friend (male) saw me last week and could see i'd lost lots even from a distance, and was very complimentary. Strangely tho, it does look like more than 11lbs, normally that amount hardly makes a dent in my appearance.

    Intend to be good tomorrow.;)

Also, agree with sweet regarding alias.

I really do enjoy my breakfast. After a week or so doing keto cocktail in the early morning I have found my need for other food as well diminishing. At work I still have something before 8am, but what I fancy has got less.

I still have 'something' for my break around 10am but that's more to do with my lunch not being till after 1pm and my worry that I'll get hungry. This week what I've had at break has been from my lunch, mostly. Think I'm getting around to eating less over the day, can't be rushed though. Only when I don't want it will I stop eating.

At weekend I'll have a good scrambled eggs and bacon / smoked salmon. Don't feel hungry for a good 5 hrs after that and cos I'm usually busy I don't tend to eat. If out shopping I never think 'Need lunch' !

Taking the low carb way, and letting myself get used to that, seems to be working.

I never crave chip barms on white buns like I used to, I don't feel the need to eat when out shopping because I've eaten well already.

There are low/c 'cereals' you could try (make yourself) or why not get a few low/c crackers or biscuits on the go to have for breakfast? spread with butter or cream cheese and toppings.

L/c doesn't mean a fry up in the am. Unless you want one :)

PS I say nice things cos they're true and I got nice folk to say em to :)

I've been an avid reader of this thread, and started Low-carbing today. I have been in Ketosis before when I did the Cambridge diet, and still have quite a few of the shakes left, so may use them up whilst I'm doing this. I'm not following a particular plan, just avoiding all starchy carbs like bread/potatoes/rice/pasta, but also not eating carb ridden veg or meat (like the sausages in my freezer!)

I have lost over 4 1/2 stone since last September just through healthy eating but I just can't shift the last stone and a half to get me to a healthy bmi, so low carb it is! As I'm a bread fiend.

    Today I've had

Tuna mayo with lettuce, cucumber, 1 yellow pepper (are they "carby?") and a splosh of balsalmic vinegar.
    Bag of pork scratchings
    Pepperami
    Stir fry with chicken.

I realise there is a chunk of junk there, and high salt, but felt super hungry.

Should I calorie count aswell as avoiding carbs? I don't want to gain a few lbs considering I've been low cal, low fat the past few months.

OK, I've had rather a non-diet day and can't really explain why... but here goes:

    - Scrambled egg, veggie sausage and sliced tomato
    - Satsuma
    - Veggie sushi
    - Pumpkin seeds, olives, fresh orange and grapefruit
    - Greek yoghurt with seed granola and summer fruits
    - Greek yoghurt with cacao nibs
    - 3 satsumas and a green banana
    - Bounty bar (yes the coconutty-chocolatey thing)
    - 2 hardboiled eggs and a lump of cheese

Good job my colleague ran out of chocolate cakes before he got to me! Oh, and my boss turned up with "Crispy Cream Donuts" for the team but I turned him down, (to which he responded "your willpower is astounding; it's very annoying"). Actually I've never had a crispy cream, so no idea what I'm missing out on...

buttonmoons, dont need to calorie count, need to be eating fat actually.

Not sure about the transition from low fat to high fat tho, someone here will advise i'm sure.

They say peppers are carby but i have eaten lots in the past (halved, filled with garlic ,tomato and feta and roasted) and lost lots.

Have been avoiding but may go back to them, think it depends on what 'stalls' you.
scratchings and pepperami have their uses.:D

I used my lc shakes up for breakfast.

Well done on the weight loss so far.:T

Ooh, and i think i read that balsamic is a no no.

I'll skip the vinegar from now on then, it's not that nice anyways!

Scratchings will help me curb my crisp cravings, I'm glad I have strong teeth.....love it when you bite into a gooey fatty one.

The peppers with feta sound good, might have to try that later on in the week.

    Got a quick Q.....

Think I'm making a curry for dinner tomorrow, it's the pataks ones which are 5g per serving, so not too bad, I was going to have it with cauliflower, now, how does one cook a cauliflower.......never done it in my life! Do I throw the leaves in the bin? Its a scary looking veg!
  • Button,
cut off the leaves by cutting into the stem at the bottom and then tear or cut the cauliflower into florets. I use a steamer (one sort of saucepan on top of another) but if you don't have one, boil and then simmer as per other vegetables.

If you haven't cooked cauliflower before, what about broccoli?
Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.
  • I've just heard that M&S are going to reduce the price of their bras over DD size (apparently until now the larger sizes have been £2 dearer). Just my luck to now be a D cup! (not really complaining about that though :))
