Thanks for your kind words but it's actually a good time for me to move on for a while. There's a holiday coming up then a change in the household which will mean less time spent on line anyway.
I'm a low carber so don't fret, I'll be doing it when I'm not here :rotfl:
Big love
Mx
Well, I hope you have a lovely, lovely time away on holiday and then find your way back to us here!!! We need you.xxx
Stamps foot....I'm not having it!!!0 -
I know what you mean and I too will be reading less here. The whole point of coming here, which was to help and be helped with regard to low carb diets, has stopped being fun and started to be a chore.
Where once we had a fun group who were serious about low carbing and sharing ideas, we now have a few souls who have to correct and explain the tosh written since we last logged on.
Some have already left since the nonsense started and I do miss them.
It's all got a bit boring.
Take care all!

So true unfortunately.0 -

I'm sorry to see so many people leaving but I have to say the same thought was in my head. I don't post that often but have been reading here for a few months and have found the thread very useful. Not anymore unfortunately. Thanks to all the regular posters for the information and advice over the last few months.0

You being a troll has nothing to do with explaining the nutritional benefits, it's solely to do with you deliberately undermining a SUPPORT thread by suggesting things which you know will not fit with many people's expectations or needs. You obviously have more than sufficient knowlege to identify alternatives that would be a better fit yet you choose not to. And if you had an honest reason for posting here you would have apologised to inspirespirit as she obviously fell for your machinations.
I used to come here for support but as your presence, aided and abetted by chameleon, means that this thread no longer meets it's stated purpose I am moving on.
I'm sad to leave but yes, absolutebounder, you've achieved it, please enjoy :T
Oh dear the attention seeking "im offended and leaving" post. I thought that only happened in the arms.
!!!!!! Please show me where I have posted a high carb recipe. you cant And yes as you hint at in your post I do know my stuff. However rather than accept alternatives you pretend to run away in the hope everyone will ask you to stay.
For the record I approve of a lower carb diet but extremes are dangerous.Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -
Mercy, daska, kafkathekat - you are right that the thread has been a bit light on posters who are seriously following a low carb diet recently but, in my case, it is due to dealing with yet another person near death and one going into hospital. If you leave then it won't be worth bothering and I am sure that others will come back if we make it more interesting / informative. Please reconsider as I need you, let alone others.
daska- I have tried to PM you but you cannot receive messages. Are you ok?
jerry, alias, sistercas, Minihauk .......... - where are you?
Have to go now as taking someone into hospital for total hip replacement this morning.
I am serious, we really need to support each other and your baling out is not going to help!!!!!!!!
absolutebounder - whilst your knowledge and information may be useful to some, it really does not help those on this board who are seriously trying to follow a very low carb diet, often for health reasons and advised by a Dr. Please would you desist as it just confuses new people who are honestly looking for sensible advice. As I told you before, I get at least the recommended amount of vitamins, minerals, fibre by making sensible food choices that are also low carb so it is not only possible but works. My stomach problems are significantly better and the hospital are really happy with it.
Have a good low carb day everyone and please keep posting.
Love to you all0 -
Well done AB. Another thread ruined.
The clue was in the title - low carb diet support thread.
You too Chameleon, this is not a weight loss thread primarily, it's a low carb thread.
Well, it's yours now
Anyone here who approved of the stirring going on by thanking and engaging with the trolls, well, you get the thread you deserve :rotfl:
This is not the end, though. I'm sure once there's only tumble weed for company the unpleasantness will disperse. We've been through lean posting times before and will be back again I'm sure.0 -

Daska and Mercy - you've been brilliant contributors and very helpful to me. Please keep reading and come back soon. Good luck.
Sheila - So sorry to hear about your circumstances. I hope everything turns out as well as it can.
I've been at my target weight for some time now, but I still enjoy reading and contributing where I can. Keep low carbing everyone - you know it makes sense :A0 -
Not to worry but please all stop giving in as this is a low carb thread and we need people who understand what that means to keep posting. I like the support and so do others so let's just keep going please. We need you.
