Woo currently unavailable - do apologise. Worked earlier lol
will let you know if it's up again. Maybe server error.
Thank you for this.... I found it really useful. Does anyone know if there is a quick guide to fruit anywhere? I was going to make red cabbage today but remembered I add an apple. I usually make it with brown sugar as well, but will use brown sweetener (although I realise this is a bit controversial). So bacon and eggs for brekky. Not sure about lunch. Dinner is pork, chicken, cauli, broccoli and red cabbage.
Does anyone have a recipe for gravy or do we just go without please?0 -
Hi
jerry - do you have a hangover? Glad that things are looking up.
alias - you are doing so well and then apologising for being a nuisanceDon't be silly!
inspirespirit - I use Marigold vegetable stock or keep stock back when I boil up chicken carcass / vegetables. To thicken anything I mash up veg but I usually just have thin gravy. It sounds like you are really getting in the swing of things so let us know if you lose weight. How are you feeling in yourself?
I also use https://www.fitday.com to log what I eat, carbs etc.
Cold, wet day so what are we all up to?0 -

Don't be silly!
Cheers Sheila but I wasn't actually apologising.
Just saying that I recognise my posts about hypno don't exactly fit with the thread topic and that I didn't want to derail things so please anyone shout out if they feel my posts are too off topic here.
Btw, how is your brother doing?Herman - MP for all!0 -

Your posts do fit in. Most people here are trying to lose weight. What your post showed was that psychology has a lot to do with overeating but also that there is unconscious thought as well as conscious thought. Thing is unconscious thought is far more powerful but your experience has shown to you consciously what an unconscious change is like if that makes sense.
The relation with low carbs is that lowering your reliance on high energy carbs makes it easier not to overeat. As I have said earlier some carb foods carry a lot of vital nutrients. The point of my list of superfoods was lost on some but itwas to show that what are called superfoods are often combined in nature with carbs.
Once hypno guy has finished you will most likely stay at a good weight withouit bothering if you put on a pound one week as you know you will lose it again. You will also no longer be actively looking at how much sugar or whatever in the food is there, because you will trust your body to regulate it.
With my clients I tell them to buy chocolate and what happens is the they take a square or two one day but no more until the next day at least. I do the same with wine. Once the bingeing is stopped then all is easy and you will find naturally that you east less of the bad carbs and more of the better ones.Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -
well, I had a hangover this morning. AND, i've been naughty.. had that slice of cheesecake after all. This morning, i've had omelet. Made an extra one to take to work to eat cold tomorrow.
Was up at 6. Was very dark. Felt like the middle of the night. Switched on washing machine to save on electricity (we've started doing that now with the dishwasher as well). Managed to nearly get a load dry before it started to rain and it hasn't stopped. Very cold. Have heating on for a bit. So glad I don't have to leave the house today.
Tonight, we are having roast chicken with stuffing made with sausage meat, ground almonds and herbs, sauted cabbage, a fresh pea and bean mix we bought reduced from 2.50 to 60 pence. I've got some carrots as well which I will roast. Even though i'm full, I can't wait till its dinner time ! I love roast chicken . I hope everybody has a cozy, low carb sunday. x
P.s. Alisojo i've tried hypnotherapy - once for alcohol and once for smoking. It didn't work as apparently, i'm not the type that can be hypnotised. I don't let go or something. Wish it worked, coz I could think of using it for a few things.. lol.0 -
alias - my brother is doing ok but his head still hurts. All I meant was that, by getting to know each other, we can understand what our motivation and temptations are and encourage each other in a relevant way.
Foul weather and I want to go and get a couple of jumpers from M&S, now that I am smaller than last year. They are 2 for £20 and I have a 20% voucher but is it worth getting soaked?
Do you find that you want to eat more when it is miserable outside?
Must be something psychological in that0 -

I'm a control freak. Freely admitted. Told Hypno man as much. Some of my issues stem from the way my Father controlled me when I was young.
I too find it difficult to let go, I always need to have input into anything that affects me. I can't *just* accept things, no matter who the professional or expert may be, I always need to check or look for alternatives not suggested etc or be completely happy that whatever is happening, is right for me or mine. I'm also a perfectionist and need to know that whatever anyone else does that might affect me, is done properly.
Hypno man recognised this and did comment that I needed to be able to 'allow' him to help me and not 'fight' against it.
(I have to admit to being worried at this stage that I was secretly going to be thinking things like 'yeah, right' or 'no chance' in my head to whatever he was going to be saying to me.:o I didn't want to do this...but cynical things do just seem to pop into my head.)
BUT.... as I am at a stage in my life where I now NEED to make changes, I am happy to believe that as opting for hypnotherapy is my choice, then I am still 'controlling' what happens to me and it's my choice to let hypno man do his stuff and to have faith it will work.
If that makes sense?
I refer back to my 'depends who the practitioner' comment of earlier though. This chap spends time talking. The other one I saw was matter of fact, abrupt, straight into 'count backwards' rubbish and hadn't got the first clue about me.Herman - MP for all!0 -
A gift
Bounders very simple banana surprise
1 tin of coconut milk
250gm of greek yogurt (not too sharp if possible)
2 egg yolks
200gm of raspberries
1/2 tsp of vanilla essence
Simply whisk the whole lot together fairly fast to get a little air into the mix and freeze
Try and use thick coconut milk. If half of it is water just use the thick part.
if it is too sharp for you sweeten with a little honey.
Ps you can use any ripe fruit.Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -
