drink plenty of water! I always find that more difficult at weekends so I'm making a special effort to clean up my act
Refuse to buy bottled water so will have to be canny :rotfl:
I bought one large sports bottle of water yonks ago - I just carry that around with me, refilling as necessary. When at home, it's next to my sofa so I can just slurp while I work (or doze, or watch films...)Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Good morning all :hello:
Feeling a tad fragile this morningbut bodyclock still woke me up early.
Sat outside last night & had bbq'd burger & 2 chipolata sausages with salad & coleslaw. Also had another piece of 'mexican fudge' before everything was ready cos I was bloomin starving!! Absolutely fffffreezing but determined to stay out!! :rotfl:Had chimnea going but was still ccccold!! As soon as we came back into the house I went to bed to warm up!!
Loved the fishy puns & jokes by the way!! Tis good to have a laugh!! :rotfl:
Well done on the weight losses & dress size losses peeps. That's what I don't understand with me, I lose weight but stay in the same size clothes.Tried my smaller size jeans on a while ago but nope, nowhere near. Might try them today.
Anyway, my menu for today
B - 2 pork steaks
L - mexican fudge with salad leaves & coleslaw
D - not sure yet, will post later (thinking about mexican fudge with cheesy leeks)
Have a good day everyone, looks like going to be a nice day here.0 -
I must try Mercy's fudge!
I prefer mine warm but it's not bad cold. Keep mine in individual foil parcels in the fridge then warm them up in the oven (don't have microwave yet). Lovely with salad.

Morning guys.
Just read through the last couple of pages (took me a while to get the parrot/perch joke
what can I say, it's early
).
I got it now though > :rotfl:
Going to be busy today. Got to get house tidied/meal made in advance for son and daughter for tonight. (Son is working until 5 and has done extra hours all week and is really tired and since he's the one babysitting for youngest, I'm trying to make everything as easy as possible to avoid the usual sibling squabbles.) Got to organize dvd's for youngest so she's nice and quiet. I suspect they'll get on ok when they have to and dont have us to complain to. At least I'm hoping so, lol.
sweet...methinks the mexican fudge is taking over from the cheesy leeks now. :rotfl:
mazzers....well done, another pound to add to the (non) collection.
jj...I will be thinking about you eating your chinese food when I'm eating my .....whatever.
Ohhhhh angela......new name in the naughty corner. You have to leave, sorryI suspect I may need the space to myself after tonight.
HC...bonking is unfortunately out at this moment in time (seriously bad TOTM). However alternative activities may be arranged.
Oh and btw sweet....Scottish does not equal :lovethoug (loving thoughts) over salmon. Chocolate and Irn Bru perhaps.....salmon, nope. :rotfl:
Have a good weekend all!
*wonders what I'd do if smilies weren't allowed* :think:Herman - MP for all!0 -

WOW! Paula!
Just checked your sig, well done!
What's your secret?
MX
God bless you! I've been rather down on myself for not losing that final 5kg and I had forgotten to be proud of the early losses.
No secret at all - i think the more you have to lose the quicker it falls off! My weight dropped quite steadily until it got down to a BMI of 25 (started at 31.4) and then it really stalled.
I lost the first 12kg in 8 weeks or so then took 12 weeks to lose 4kg. Dropped 3kg quite quickly after a couple of weeks away (so less food and lots more activity) then stayed the same for another month until Christmas.
Put on a few pounds over Christmas but then had a carb fest after christmas and put on 3kg.
Restarted Atkins induction 2 Feb and got back to my pre christmas weight in a week (but my period started so gained a bit of extra weight loss from that). I did hope that the weight would continue to drop off like that but it slowed down almost instantly. I had another Ceroc dance weekender and dropped 2kg over that (unfortunately almost totally from my already non existent bust) but have stalled again and stayed the same for the last 10 days. Looks like i need to bump up my activity level. I'm avoiding peanuts this time as i'm sure i suffered from carb creep during my last big stall.
Phew. Sorry about that - way TMI I know but I found it quite cathartic!
Time to update my status - i had left it because my weight went higher than that and i didnt want to admit it out loud, and i didn't change it yesterday because i felt ashamed that it had gone down so little since november. what daft people we are........
i'm glad i've come back on here as you lot always make me feel better about myself. My name is Paula and I am a low carber1/6/08-83kg : 1/5/10-57kg

Things not going quite according to plan. I can see OH and me sitting in the car park with a bottle and a bag of chips at this rate.Herman - MP for all!0 -
alias, hope everything's ok.
Didn't read your original post so don't know what's happened. Hope it's nothing I said.
But even if you do end up sat in a car park tonight at least it will give you & OH time & space away from kids/distractions to talk to each other. Sounds like you need to do this. Hope things work out but you know we are always here if you need to sound off. Good luck.0
