I never trust the nutritional data posted on tesco.com anyway. Try checking mysupermarket.com it's far more reliable in my experience.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I had a day off yesterday. No low carbing, no calorie counting, nothing.
I put on 4 lbs.
I didn't even pig out.
I'm getting a gastric band!Herman - MP for all!0 -

The 4lb gain will not be fat. It doesn't happen so quickly in the same weigh a sudden loss doesn't equal fat loss. It's likely due to an increased intake of carbs if you've previously restricted them and the associated water gain that goes along with it. For every gram of glycogen, your body stores 3g of water.
This is why shouldn't be weighing yourself daily, or at all really. Use a tape measure instead
ETA: did you see my Freudian slip up in the first line? Think I'll leave it there :rotfl:“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Morning :hello:
SHEILA, I think the greek yoghurt/flaxseed combo is an acquired taste & I am acquiring it slowly!!
Turkey is good as it's got tryptophan(??) which is supposed to improve mood.
Jerry, I can't afford £190 eitherI knew I was spending a lot but not that much _pale_ I've gathered the receipts together & I'm going to see where I can cut back - looks like I'll be eating a lot more eggs in the coming weeks
You've worked hard to get that firm body - well done!! :T
* The Lidl greek yoghurt is 3.2g carbs per 100g & it's £1.58 for 1000g bucket *
Can we use greek yoghurt in cooking?? I used to make a chicken & mushroom stroganoff using the Yeo Valley natural yoghurt tesu linked to & I wondered if I could replace it with greek yoghurt to make it a bit lower carb?? Anyone tried it??
Meals for today:
B1 - greek yoghurt & flaxseed
B2 - 3 piggies in blankets, button mushroom, baby plum tomatoes
L - 2 buttered GG crispbreads with cheese savoury
D - chicken & mushroom stroganoff maybe?? with veg
Exercise - minimum 30 minutes brisk walk, push-ups

I see you your embarrasing (to you) statistic and raise you with the fact my waist measurement is the same as my hips.
The 4lbs I put on wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't going to the Doctors today. He's not going to believe I was 4lbs lighter yesterday. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -

Morning all. Just had a gruelling job interview. I doubt I will get the job as its for a PA to the director. I come across great on CV but nervous in person in interviews anyway.. But we shall see. I have another int tomorrow and wed.
No exercise today.
I too recommend the Lidl yoghurt. Its SO creamy and delish. I even eat it on its own, its that good. Low carb to boot!
Today:
Coffee, tea and lots of water now.
Lunch: Chicken soup which I made MYSELF!
Dinner: Pork steaks, cauliflour cheese, mange tout. (husband will have his usual bad chips as well, cooked in oven.)
snacks: If I get hungry, will have cheese and boiled eggs. (have boiled up 10 eggs and placed in fridge.)
In Birmingham, its a whopping 20 degrees and sunny sunny sunny! Not a cloud in the sky. I hope everybody has a fantastic day!0 -
Morning all, sunny in Dorset.
Have done well over the weekend-no chocolate at all(!!) and no grains/sugar/potato.(well, I did have some sugar in the meringue which made up a delicious eton mess, but it can't have been much!!Lol, I know how much sugar goes into meringue!!)
DH's birthday today, so having rump steak with salad, avocado and coleslaw. Have managed to get some preview tix to cinema tonight, so a cheap birthday treat as well!
Have a good day, Sheila, thinking of you today.x0 -
