Aw! I remember (most of) my trip to Amsterdam. We went in a large mixed group, all the girls were doing the sex museum, all the boys said 'that's not what we're here for' :rotfl:

Innocent times, 18 years or so ago I think, well I was early married so it must be. My mate got a pic of me hugging a 10ft erect pen1s :) and I got one of her doing the same.

Great days. Actually saw the bulb fields - went to the Keukenhof display. Row upon row - off to the vanishing point (it's so flat) of hyacinth bulbs. The breeze off there was amazing.... Wanna do that again! Will he have room in his rucksack for a small one?

So, who's up for a low carb trip to Amsterdam? :rotfl:

Kinda 'touch my food, feel my fork'? :rotfl:

It's worth noting that the carbs in your 'incidental' bracket can vary loads where fruit or veg are concerned. I eat lots of veg but tend to concentrate on salad leaves, brocolli, cauli etc that do not have many carbs, rather than tomatoes, carrots etc (just eat these in moderation). I never eat fruit except the odd berry type thing. Most just have WAY to much sugar, feel like it would spoil my hard work for the sake of an apple / orange / banana etc.

Which plan are you following? They often disagree with each other so it helps if we know which way you are going.

Most of my food tends to be salad leaves, some cherries/berries, almonds and other seeds/nuts (no peanuts), meats, olive oil etc. That's a staple anyway.

I don't follow any 'plan' - I eat what we are evolved to eat, and stay away from artifically produced foods like carrots, bananas, pineapple etc (all the common allergens).

Out of interest, how much body fat do you guys think a person can lose in 1 week without becoming unhealthy? I am sure it is more than 2-3 pounds.

I remember reading an article with Ricky Hatton's trainer and he said that, at peak training for a fight, Hatton loses something like 4-5 pounds of fat a week.

I inherited Tufter (with his name!) when he was 9 years old but yes, I think he was named so because of the tufty bits in his tail and between his toes! Check your Tomcat's collar next time you see him - apparently they can roam a very long way .

Mazzers, two-thirds of my chickens happilly stick to their pen area at the bottom of the garden (I put up a 5' high wire fence which they could fly over if they were bothered). However one of my chickens has clearly decided that the wasteland at the end of my neighbour's garden is part of her territory and will escape any fencing to visit it. She always comes back, there's no way she'd be away from her home and bed by about 6pm .

Oh yeah, and I eat a lot of salad vegetables full stop - cucumber, vine tomatoes, olives, lots of raw onion.

    Hiya!

    Just had lovely food.

Flax cracker type thing and smoked salmon with cream cheese, mayo and herby salad.

    Flax cracker type thing
    2 1/2 tablespoons ground linseeds
    1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder.
    Salt, herbs etc

Mix dried ingredients in a bowl. then add:

1 Tablespoon of melted butter or olive oil.
    1 Tablespoon of water.
    1 large egg.

Mix it all together and pour onto a pyrex plate that has been greased. with a spoon spread it out until it is very thinly spread and covers most of the plate. I had to do it in 2 goes. Zap in micro for about 3 mins full power.

mostly it went hard and was substantial enough to spread with cheese etc.

    V tasty.

Will check if it's already on the list before er, listing :)
