Hi all. Had the munchies yesterday. Was a snacky day.

Drinks: Litre of water during day, and 3 vodkas last night with low cal tonic
Snacks: lump of cheddar. Large bowl of Greek Yoghurt. Celery and red pepper dipped in cream cheese.
Lunch: Spam and tomato and 2 eggs.
Dinner: Pork Casserole with (couldn't help myself, 2 dumplings (bad). How did I think I could get away with not eating the dumplings.. they're absolutely irrisistible to me. But at least I didn't succumb to the mashed potato.

Morning all :) Sun is shining, not entirely sure what we're doing yet today but it will be out and about making the most of the weather.

    Food for the day:

B: Atkins shake, pot of coffee, water with lemon juice.

    L: Chicken salad.

D: Low carb chicken curry, might make some cauliflower 'rice' for with it or else just some stir fried green leafies on the side.

Oh gosh it's been busy here the last few days, DS2 had a sick bug, his dad had a gig and we're still trying to get straight for the next lot of visitors - I feel bad that the ones due last night didn't turn up but grateful at the same time.

Anyway, back on the lc to repair the damage but I'm getting cramps again, not sure why, I'm eating plenty of greens and have upped the saltand am drinking plenty. Any ideas before I take out shares in schweppes?

Morning all, sunny but windy in Dorset.
Have had an ok weekend, foodwise, I've succumbed to a bit of ice-cream and a small meringue with my berries and cream, but otherwise, ok.
I've lost another 2lbs, which means I'm 3lbs off my target!!!:j I'm surprised because I thought I'd stopped losing!!I even got into an old size 10 dress on Saturday, which is a bit tight across the bust, but is a good measure for me to see that I need to drop a bit more!
    Its so encouraging though.

    B-Egg, haloumi,mushrooms
    L-Salad, avocado,smoked mackerel
    D-Chicken thighs with summat

    Have a good Monday.x

Nothing to help Daska, but just to say that I keep getting cramp in one leg, and feel the effects of it for quite some time after. I need to get some more salt, can anyone remember which salt was recommended, otherwise, I'll start reading back until I get to it and re-post.

Re. leg cramps, although salt may be a factor, it's more than likely to be magnesium deficiency, it was mentioned a few pages back, i'll try and find it.

Specifically for veggies and clean-eating people - who may struggle to get enough protein and Vit B - but also anyone not in the best of health or cutting right back on inflammatory foods, or not eating enough seafood, or actually anyone interested, have you tried Hemp Seed, or Hemp Seed Oil?

It is a complete protein, full of essential vits and mins and an ideal source of EFA's.

    http://cleancuisineandmore.com/health-benefits-of-hemp-seeds/

http://www.naturallysplendid.com/hemp-health, taken from this website, some of the benefits are.......

    Lower blood LDL cholesterol levels
    Lower blood pressure
    Improve cardiovascular circulation & function
    Improve organ function
    Improve immunity levels
Increased energy levels & metabolic rate
Reduce symptoms of PMS & menstrual cramps
Reduce inflammation and the symptoms of arthritis
Improve recovery of muscles after exercise
Reduce & treat dry skin and hair conditions
Reduction of many degenerative diseases through preventative measures

H & B do 7 x 25g trial sizes of seeds including Hemp (also flax, and flax with other bits and pieces). I bought it after Sheila suggested flax with sunflower, pumpkin, sesame seeds and Goji berries; it's a really good way of trying them without buying big bags of everything. I have mine sprinkled on my berries and yogurt - but there are many other ways to use them (even hemp seed milk) -and they are all really tasty.

The lo-salt is half sodium, half potassium which is probably why that helps, but my diet isn't low in potassium as ar as I can tell. I was starting to think about magnesium, the GP reckoned my calcium etc were ok but I don't think she checked magnesium, and blod tests aren't a great indicator anyway as I understand it. Any suggestions for a good slow release formula? And hemp sounds like a useful snack, I'll go in to H&B tomorrow.

Sheila, have you come across this site?

Afternoon - just dashing in and out!

Yesterday gorged on belly pork and then chicken.

Today is egg day as I'm away from tomorrow until Sunday so shall have a couple for lunch and take the rest mashed up with mayo for lunch on Tuesday. They are close to use by date so don't want to waste them.

Only had some wine during Olympic opening ceremony so not too much guilt to lug around.

Haven't read too much, sorry. Hope everyone is on straight and narrow but expect some curves along the way!
