Just been out for lunch and had a free range chicken breast served on a bed of leeks in a cream sauce. It arrived sprinkled with strips of smoky bacon, and instead of potatoes they served me with a dish of savoy cabbage, broccoli and carrots. I checked with the waitress and the sauce was just double cream and butter.
It was lovely, and easy to copy at home. Ooh, I hope they don't read this and sue me0 -
Def. an acquired taste!

Morning :hello:
I've never heard of Atkins crispbreads so can't compare. sistercas, I wouldn't have a clue how to post the pic of the GG crispbreads, you're obviously more technically minded than me!!
B - slice of 3-egg gammon/red onion/garlic & herb cheddar/cottage cheese quiche (currently smelling delicious in the oven)
L - 2 buttered GG crispbreads with salmon & spring onion mayo, 4 cherry toms
D - chicken with cauli, broc, green beans, mushroom sauce
Strawbs & double cream, almonds
Off to get my quiche now so a short post for a change!!Hope everyone is well today.

Morning all, another grey day here. Really hope it picks up later. Last day of school for the year here, looking forward to spending some time with my almost teenager. He's that busy during term time with out of school activities and birthday parties, sleepovers at friends houses etc, that I don't get to see a great deal of him. I might change my tune 4 weeks into the holidays when him and his friends have trashed my house and eaten me out of house and home ;-) lol!!
Food for the day:
B: Egg based something or other
L: Last of the cauli soupPan fried Sea Bass with chilli, ginger & spring Onions, garlic pak choi on the side.
Snacks: Greek yog, Seeds, Almonds.
Have a great day :-)0 -
Good morning! Fibroids are causing me pain this morning. I hope everybody is having a good time. There is a bit of sun here in the midlands, but at least no rain YET.
L: sausages and tomatoesscrambled eggs or mushroom omelete.
Have ran out of double cream so having tea with milk! AND, very naughty of me, but I ate a whole bar of hazlenut chocolate from Lidl last night! I had bought it for husband, but he hadn't touched it, so stupidly, I gave into it. Wont buy again unless husband promises to eat it that day! Can't have things like that in the house lingering. Have a lovely day all!0
