Hi All
It's been great to read the success stories and my thoughts go out to all with physical problems. I understand how it is to live with a long term illness, however mine is not physical, but it is dealt with on daily basis as well as I can...
Work has been a bit stress towers at the moment as we are forward enrolling the little lovelies for the next academic year. They have to complete certain assessments etc and it has frayed our little team's resources.
But the surprise was the cancellation of the Great Yorkshire Show (I work next to the showground) - I have to say the field car parks were mushed after the first day. This is a great agricultural show and it is a real shame for everyone that it had to be cancelled
My eating habits have not been the best this week - I really, really need to get back on track, stress really does stop me from planning and keeping to the diets. I consumed a blueberry muffin yesterday and today some chocolate (but not too much)I am hoping that after this week we will be less busy at work, and we will be rolling down to the holidays and this will take the stress off and help me plan better
To top off today's shenanigans - the dog got herself lost on her walk today, I was about to hit near hysteria when the daft creature came charging towards me from the wrong end of the field yelping at me as if to say - where have you been..... :rotfl:
Well that's my little muse for the day - happy low carbing to everyone and helps with the exercise :A

Sorry Daska my fitness waffle wasn't aimed at you, just that in general human's are designed to move about.
I didn't word it very well, I've never had ME, I was diagnosed with firbomyalgia years ago and have suffered with v achey joints, but when I exercise my joints feel better, that's all I meant, no offence intended and sorry if it read that way. I've never had ME so could never understand what you go through.
Hope that's OK.
Not a problem, I was just a bit surprised and thought I better explain what the ramifications were. FM isn't that dissimilar to ME though, they're often referred to as being opposite sides of the coin with FM getting mainly pain while ME gets mainly exhaustion.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

:hello: Hello and welcome Jerryjerryjerry
I'm very fond of vodka too, and used to worry about it. Then I thought - if I didn't drink too much I'd be perfect....and nobody likes a smug git do they?

Hello oldies, newbies & anyone else reading :hello:
I haven't been on here for sooooo longbut I'm considering starting back on lc tomorrow _pale_ The pale face is because I'm dreading starting & then finding that I can't stick to it
I honestly can't say that I'm 'in the right frame of mind' but my weight has spiralled out of control in the last few months & I really need to do something about it.
I've felt ridiculously tired for the last few months, have joint pain in my shoulder, wrists & ankles & felt generally 'bleurgh', but I've just had my blood results back & everything came back normal. I was seriously expecting to be told, yes, you have an underactive thyroid or yes, you have diabetes (family history for both) but apparently I'm fine  Except I'm not, as I still feel ridiculously tired, have joint pain & feel 'bleurgh'...
Anyway, that's why I'm hoping to return to the lc woe. I've bought stuff (woohoo to cream, butter & my fave GG crispbreads!! :rotfl:) & am all set to start tomorrow, fingers crossed.
I'll start reading this thread again & will post occasionally, promising that in future I'll be :j & instead of the grumpy old moo I'm being tonight!!
Bye for now :wave:0 -
Hi sweet
Welcome back  I am sure that you can do it and there are still a few people who were here when you posted before. Don't dread it as I am sure that you will feel better after a few weeks.
Mercy - 12 weeks is really great, give yourself a pat on the back0 -
Morning!
Welcome to this lovely thread newbies and returners. Here you will find like-minded people who 'get' the ups and downs eating like this brings.
I'm doing a few weeks work in a summer school for foreign students(juniors), giving them lunch and 2 evening meals. So many carbs to resist!! I've coped for 3 days so far.....
I've still got 5 lbs to go to my target and its sloooooow going! Never mind, I think my shape is still changing slightly.

Ooo! I've been waiting for an opportunity to mention the one I bought recently. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Barleans-Organic-Oils-Coconut-473ml/dp/B002VLZ8D0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1342083007&sr=8-4
I was having Biona until I thought I'd try this. It's much nicer IMO0 -
Hi all do you mind if I join in? I have been reading the thread for inspiration for about a month and feel I ought to say hi.
Now I have been doing celebrity slim for the last 6 weeks and have lost 1 stone and am really pleased with that but am intending to ditch that now as it is pretty expensive and just low carb for all meals.
For those who don't know celeb slim is meal replacement shakes for brekkie and lunch then a low carb dinner, drinking lots of water and several small snacks a day. It is easy to follow but about £30 for a weeks supply and is difficult to follow when at work or out and about.
Anyway plan for today is omelette and salad for tea (we keep chickens so always loads of eggs around!). Just need to research some quick lunch options now.0 -
