daska - doing really well to be nearly 14 stone. You will make it but as you have stalled before why not try upping your carb level for a few days and then go back down as it worked for me ;) I have never worn jeans in my life but it is my ambition to try to get into a pair one day, even if I do have a large backside.

Thank you Sheila, I have in fact been bouncing the carbs around a bit doing alternate days very low and more moderate. Even had rice with my domoda last Thursday and finished off with cake with strawberries and clotted cream - mmmm! Given that last week was really stressy and I was baking and had extra family around most days it would have been really easy to fall off the wagon completely - I did splurge on the cake yesterday after DS2 had gone to bed but it's back on the straight and narrow as of this morning. I don't get downheartened when I break it because I know there have been days when I've really splurged at a meal and woken up the following day 2lb lighter LOL :D

I never used to wear jeans, but that was because my mum always claimed that jeans had to be baggy or they were uncomfortable so I never had a pair that fitted, they always looked like clown trousers. Now I can buy my own I do recognise that they're not the best look for me but at the same time they are practical. And I've spent the last 6 years in yoga bottoms and I'm pig sick of them LOL

Anyhow, I hate to keep reminding you - it is my job after all! - but make sure that you are not losing muscle mass in this great 'weight' loss by exercising, pref. with resistance exercises. :)

I hear your reminders, really I do, and every time I just feel a bit disheartened because there isn't really anything I can think of to do without it having a knock on effect with my energy. I do walk around the flat and I have an i-joy 'ride' which I have started using again. I guess I get some resistance exercise trying to get DS2 un/dressed

    Any suggestions?

Wow so much to catch up on!

Sheila, Daska & Elantan well done on the weight loss :T

For whoever was asking about blogs, most are listed under the person's MSE avatar as their homepage.

Durham-mim, congats on your anniversary and thanks for the chapati recipe!

Caterina thanks for the maca link, will have a good read.

Murphydog I like your style. I've been doing high intensity workouts 5 times a week for a couple of months now, 20-30 mins of burpees, push-ups, mountain climbers, squats etc.

The difference in my body shape & weight combined with the clean eating/low carb diet has been amazing :D
You don't need a gym, you can do these type of exercises at home while the kids are in bed. You just have to be strict and do them regularly & push yourself as hard as you can. I'm usually sweating like a pig, but bizarrely all that work curbs my appetite too for a couple of hours. My journey is all on my blog if you want to have a look.

I was v good this weekend and knew I was going to be at an all-day event with no low carb choices (a sports centre for goodness sake that only sells junk from vending machines:mad:). So I made a chicken salad to take with me and a bag of almonds for snack.
Yesterday made an easy veg curry to use up some butternut squash & various veggies.

I'm really getting into spicy flavours, upto hot at Nandos and added a teaspoon of chilli flakes to my curry LOL!

    Hi cazxx1 and welcome

You can buy flax ground, on its own or with added seeds etc.

The thing with exercise is if you expel energy it gives you more energy. There are times when you really don't feel like doing anything and you WILL feel so much better for doing something. If you PM me with your circumstances I'll try and help.
