Morning all,
I have made myself a bit of a toasted sprinkle mix to go on top of yoghurt. I used some oatbran, ground almonds, and a small shake of mixed seeds. Not strictly Dukan but since this will top about a dozen yoghurts I'm not too worried... All spread on a tray and in a low oven till golden. Allow to cool and stir up with a fork. Spoon a bit over yoghurt. Might be nice with cinnamon added, oh I put some Splenda in too - have a sweet tooth.Bossymoo

Morning everyone.
I've just updated my blog with today's menu. I've also added a recipe for Vegetable Bhaji on yesterdays post, if anyone is interested.Weight loss 0/2st

I did Dukan last year, late summer/autumn/into the winter. From 72.3 kg I went down to 65.9 kg by Christmas - this is 10 stone 5 pounds. So, over 22 weeks I lost 6.4 kg, which is a stone.
But, but, but...it didn't really suit me. I couldn't carry it on, especially as I didn't get near my target weight which was 60 kg, and because the good Dr wanted me to go on paying!!
I've now moved on to the Harcombe Diet. Because Zoe Harcombe insists that you don't eat carbs and fats at the same meal (meat, eggs etc are carbs) it seems to work better for me. She is a great advocate of eating 'real foods' i.e. unprocessed, as nature intended. One of the precepts I picked up along the way is that if there is a long list of ingredients many of which you can't pronounce, then don't buy it - that puts WeightWatchers out of court. Also sugar is the real 'baddie', and it is added, in some form or other, to almost everything you buy which is the slightest bit processed.
I've tried almost every weight loss system there is and, for one reason or another, they all fall short of the only criterion which is - what works for me.
DH finds that lower-carb suits him well - he has lost weight since last year, since we gave up eating potatoes, in fact.
We've just had Shredded Wheat (the only breakfast cereal which contains only one ingredient - wheat - and contains no sugar) with milk and a sliced banana. That will last us all morning, don't need to snack.

Kallo rice puffs don't contain sugar, if you ever want some variety, but they are expensive at £2 per pack. As you know, they will be high in carbs.Weight loss 0/2st

Yes, its brown rice. I followed Erica White's anti candida diet for a year and you are only allowed brown rice on it.Weight loss 0/2st

Hi
I am over the moon as I have lost another 2lb this week. Those who have been here for a while will know that I stalled for over 4 months after a great weight loss but I went to Italy early in June and put on 2lb, being quite good. Lost 2lb the next week, 3lb last week and 2lb this week. Mercy take heart
How are we all today?
Gray Malkin, bossymoo and durham - mim : thanks for the recipes and ideas
murphydog999 - if I stop losing again I will follow your suggestion re protein day / higher carb day as it is obvious now that our systems need a shake up every so often
schoolhouse, alias - get in touch as I can see you hovering and it would be good to know how you are doing?0 -
