Badger got here safely but goes home tomorrow, boo hoo!
We have both been good over the weekend foodwise.
We visited a nearby huge underground cave on Saturday and today there was supposed to be an organised village walk visiting the surrounding marble quarries but it was called off because of the rain. So we (and 'is nibs) walked to the top of a nearby mountain called Ventajou. It had a chateau on the top until Simon de Montfort destroyed it in 1210. The surrounding village is in ruins but the historic society has restored one of the houses and made it into a 'refuge'. We lit the fire and had our picnic and then walked back in the rain. Our legs were sooo cold when we got in! But it was good exercise and I'm glad we did it.Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0 -

Usually, yes, but not right now for two reasons: -
1. I am waiting for my body to finally adjust to no-carbs
2. My right achillies tendon is playing up
Carbs actually decrease your athletic ability, not increase it as they cause the body to produce insulin instead of testosterone/growth hormone, which strengthen the body (and that's why some athletes take steroids/growth hormone). I am much faster, fitter, stronger and durable when I am carb-free.
www.marksdailyapple.com and www.arthurdevany.com are two websites by former high-level athletes who fuelled their bodies with carbs before they realised it was no good for them. Mark Foster never eats any carbs.
