I ordered it from HERE I bought the mixed meat selection pack , the minced steak and the chicken breasts - so i got free delivery - pretty steep delivery otherwise
Ive never ordered meat online before so hoping its good. their shop is in the village where my mum lives and she says its good :)

I buy from their shop all the time! The meat is wonderful and really reasonable too.

The sausages are absolutely gorgeous :)

    Mind if I join in?

I've enjoyed reading all your posts :) and thought I'd ask for some advice.

Basically I wanted to shift about 1 1/2 stone and the low-carb way seems to be the best way for me.

I need to avoid bread anyway, as I found a) it makes me feel awful (bloated/headache/stomach ache/ankles & hands swollen/tired and STARVING!)
    b) it's my 'TRIGGER' food!
I had also already cut out pasta and white rice too, but still ate cous cous / quinoa / chickpeas, lentils etc

I have for the last week and a 1/2 been doing my own version rather than a specific plan ie Atkins, Dukan etc

I was having 2 tbsp of Oatbran in my ff (full fat - 10%) Greek yoghurt, but then read on here that someone said they love their Oatbran but miss cheese. I suddenly realised that I should have ff (fatfree) yoghurt if I was having Oatbran :o

I've stopped the oatbran now - that and apples are the thing I miss most, although I must admit, my craving for apples only lasted 3/4 days

Anyway, this is my last couple of days of food (have been home rather than at work)....could you give me some feedback as to if it's OK please?

    B 10% L1d1 Greek yoghurt
L 3 sausages (Spar 0.1g/100g) 2 slices bacon 2 scrambled eggs (with butter)
D Chilli (yes I used tomatoes :o) on a bed of grated carrott

B 3 scrambled eggs (with butter)
L L1d1 parma ham on a bed of rocket, avocado, 2 gherkins, 1 raw beetroot
D 4 pork belly slices done in George with cauli mash with cheese
    L1d1 10% Greek yoghurt

Lots of fennel/melissa/peppermint tea and water

As I say, I've cut out all 'proper' carbs and all fruit but am still having carrots and beetroot and salad leaves (salad most days)

I struggle a little with lunches for work....so easy to take cous cous salad or hummous or Krisprolls, but I seem to be stuck in a ham/lambs lettuce rut :(
I don't stop for lunch, just a bit here and there, + I have to be aware of it getting 'sweaty' in the car:(
    Any ideas?

Allo Allo.. I've been Jubileeing .. and fireworks are still going off in the rain..

I must say you're all more restrained than me, because when I make an omelette I wolf it down - I'm quite keen on the whole omelette-piperade-menemen-huevos rancheros-frittata stuff and don't know how I'd manage without eggs. I get through a minimum of a dozen a week.

Duck fat, goose fat, dripping, lard and ghee.. they have two things in common (a) they tend to spit more than oil and a splatterguard is a good idea and (b) the shop-bought stuff is filtered and therefore they have a far more neutral taste than you'd expect. I'd hope that lard, dripping or duck/goose fat from a butcher would taste stronger.

Mercy re strawbs n cream you're welcome, you can get practising for more strawberry eating during Wimbledon ! :D I can't remember where I got quinoa info from but looked it up on glycemicindex.com and 25g carbs per serving.

hi dundeedoll :D hopefully bossymoo will be along soon as she switches between Dukan and Atkins. Krisprolls and couscous aren't low carb, nor is oatbran. Tomatoes are fine on low carb diet but tomato/pasta sauces usually have sugar added if not HM.

Thanks so much for your reply, Edwardia!

All my waffle and I didn't make it clear :D

I don't want to switch between Atkins & Dukan really, I was doing low carb, but suddenly after reading on here realised that I shouldn't be having the Oatbran so stopped it.

I used to take cous cous salad and sometimes (maybe once a week) Krisprolls.
Since I've been lc I take sliced ham/beef/chicken and salad leaves and seem to have got a bit stuck. As I say, I can't stop for lunch and need to take something that's easy to carry around, no cooking and will keep ok in car.

I made the chilli with fresh roasted tomatoes, no sugar just oil, garlic and chillies.

    Thanks again:)

Just popping in to say "Hi" and popping back out again. Hectic here and still haven't had time to start on the curtains...

P.S. The on-line butcher sounds great and for once it seems they might be prepared to deliver here - the first I've found who will, even at a premium.
