devildog have an angel :A I'm nervous thanks for caring - if they aren't improving I have to find out what's wrong
I told my GP I'd save the NHS money and buy Aspirin myself so I swapped Glimeperide (Amaryl), Sitagliptin (Januvia) and Aspirin for Repaglinide (Prandin). Went to Wilkinson for cheap enteric coated Aspirin (64p IIRC) and got told sorry you can't buy that many. Is this a government precaution in case we try mass suicide ??
As a wedding anniversary present I've decided to buy OH lots of his favourite French foods like William Saurin cassoulet and Bonne Maman gelee cassis...none of which I can eat0 -
Hello All.
Well nurse checked my weight and I have gained half a pound. Thanks Dr Atkins! Lol.
Been back on Dukan for second day now, and definitely not as bloated, so that's good.
B: leftover chicken, cup of tea, skimmed milk
L: haddock done in herbs and bit of lemon, Oopsie roll
S: Oopsie and laughing cow trianglebolognese
Filled the water filter twice so well over 2ltrs and had a few cups of tea, one diet cola.
Need to eat my oatbran, so might have some now with yoghurt...Bossymoo

The regs re buying paracetemol/aspirin are stupid. if someone is going to tot themselves they will find a way. When one of my children got dischared from hospital after an op we were told that we could either wait until the afternoon and the drugs trolley before being discharged or we could go buy some. Living in the 'sticks' tried to buy enough to see person through without having to leave them alone to go off and buy anymore, impossible from one shop. Had to trail around several to buy enough;) We did get them though, eventually.
Looking in the cupboards now I have nothing left that i can 'officially' eat () so tomorrow =weigh in day and shopping!
bossymoo good luck being back on the Dukan, hope it gets you the results you want oh and what is an oopsie roll??0 -
bossymoo don't worry about half a pound (wow accurate scales) that'll be all the water you're drinking
Sales assistant just put the Aspirin through for me as several cash transactions thankfully devildog - I'd be well cross if I'd had to trail round town like you did ! I think it's an utterly pointless rule for the 75mg aspirins, you'd have to take four just to get the equivalent of one 300mg tablet.
devildog - hope the weigh in goes well, and the shopping ! xx
Brunch - Scrambled free range eggs, mushrooms, fried in EV olive oil with a drizzle of cobnut oil on top.
Snack - Hardboiled quail's eggs
Dinner - Cold roast lamb with organic buffalo Mozzarella, green salad; British strawberries (half price offer at Sainsbury's) with Rodda clotted cream mmm0 -
Devildog:
Oopsies are funny little souffle type "buns" that you can almost make into a sandwich if you handle em carefully.
Whisk 3 egg whites to stiff peaks. Pinch of cream of tartar helps hold them but not too much, it tastes rank, lol.
Blend the yolks with 3oz cream cheese. I used Philly with grilled peppers.
Season if liked.
Gently combine the two as to not beat out the air.
Spoon dollops onto baking parchment and bake for 20min or so at about 170deg ish depending on your oven. Till golden on top and set.
I find they are actually better a bit stale, lol. This makes about 6 big ish patties and I sandwich two together with whatever. Made cheeseburgers once, which was very nice.
Hope that helps
