I agree with you daska, I found that caviar had a positive score of 2208 IIRC and I can't see me eating it eww nor raw anchovies eww. I just don't see how live natural unflavoured actual Greek yogurt can be bad for me.
Mojisola thanks for the link that looks interesting. I went through the post on that page and I think on that basis I have nowt to worry about except maintaining the exercise.Interesting how he says the majority of calories should come from saturated fats. OH will be feeding me blocks of lard

:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradminlbs!!!! :T mazzers!
There are lots of differing takes on ketosis and what it is/does as well as how long it takes to get....or return..... there!!!!

which leads on from:

although I personally haven't listened to it.
A few more links...to really soak you in it!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

From;
http://www.rxmuscle.com/articles/qadave/213-qaa-with-dave-palumbo-april-15-2009.htmlwhen u fall outta ketosis how long dose it take for u to fall back in when u adjust ur diet back
DP: It depends on how you "fall" out. If you have one cheat meal per week like I recommend, your body will return to ketosis quickly. If you have a day or more of carbs your body stops thinking it needs the ketones and then you will need a few days or even a week to get back into ketosis.

http://kickincarbclutter.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/how-do-i-get-back-into-ketosis-faster.html
And last but not least, questions related to ketosis on PaleoHacks.com....a good site for low/zero carbs, as well as paleo:
http://paleohacks.com/questions/tagged/ketosis
Of course there is an absolute mountain of info online about this ....you can spend days reading all about it  , but the takehome thing I found was that once you are keto-adapted, you only have ketones in your urine if you have produced too many and are not using them....I think then that food intake, whatever the macro needs adjusting.
Hope you find something that's of some help.

Working from home today so lunch break was early and cut the grass, haha. Only took 10min as is surrounded by paving so no edging to be done, and the mower collects the cuttings. Yaay!

Skymist thanks for all the info :T
bossymoo you seem in an excellent mood today:cool:<sunglasses for mowing the lawn.
When I was in the big 24/7 Tesco Extra near my mother's last week I bought a splatterguard which was on special offer as lard, ghee and dripping seem to spit more than olive oil.
Just bought a scrambled egg measure for OH from Ancestral Collections https://www.ancestralcollections.co.uk which is part of the Scotts of Stow empire and er generally a bit chintz for me.
Wondered whether anyone else has bought new gadgets since starting low carbing ??
Brunch - Couple of grass fed NZ lamb chops (which I'd marinated in olive oil and fresh organic mint from my garden) plus a pile of closed cup mushrooms, fried in EV olive oil.
D - stir fry providing all the bits turn up from Waitrose, if not, the last two responsibly sourced (whatever that means) Scottish salmon steaks from a reduced price whole beastie I got in December from Sainsbos for 14.270 -
I made a lemon mousse yesterday and its quite nice actually. I can't remember where I found the recipe but thought I would post it for you all anyway......
LEMON MOUSSE
4 eggs whisked with the juice of 2 lemons then add the rind of 2 lemons
Heat the mixture in a bowl over a pan of simmering water until it goes thick.
Remove from the heat then stir in 4oz of quark or FAT FREE fromage frais.
Leave to cool then put in the fridge to set
You can add sweetener if you wish but I didn't, but I did add more lemon juice..
This week I bought some spare ribs in my Asda order and a packet of Maggi BBQ seasoning to make my own BBQ ribs as there seems to be a lot less sugar this way, rather than buying them ready done0 -
I meant to say, I also bought some of the lactose free milk this week to try, and some cinnamon to try Edwardias milky drink, also try the milk in my coffee.
One thing I wondered is where can I buy coconut oil from ?
Thanks xx0 -

Why fat free, does the real stuff not work? Can't for the life of me work out why people would prefer to eat the nasty quark stuff, the texture is just 'ick'.
coconut oil you can get from health food shops etc, sometimes supermarkets if they're quite big or you have a large enough ethnic group in the local are to stimulate demand.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Brilliant for grating cheese, but I have only used it once for slicing salad veg. I'll probably use it more if we start getting more salady weather like today :j:j0 -

I just copied the recipe as it was daska, I dont personally buy fat free (anymore) if I can help it.
I can't find coconut oil when I do my online shop so the next time I get into town which doesn't happen often, I will try the health stores.0
