It doesn't say how one is supposed to eat it at all.

daska, I have a suggestion re: your father and cooking. The Alpine eggs recipe (Mrs Beeton) with Delia twist on Youtube, it's really simple and veggie.

I don't write recipes down, I just cook with whatever is to hand. I don't follow recipes either and as OH gets more confidence he is doing it too and getting creative so sorry don't have any to post. I never cook anything the same way except boiled eggs lol

Yep, me too, I distinctly remember the crushing disappointment when I discovered that someone had already invented gratin dauphinoise... (You have to bear in mind I was brought up on very simple, 'worthy' food.)

Thank you for the alpine eggs though, they look rather good.

That must have been galling. Especially as you must have put in a lot of thought to come up with a fancy name like that.

    :p to you too ;)

I think I'd called it 'baked potato and cream' - highly imaginative of me :rotfl:

Hello, i'm still about, very tired as my bp meds dose has been doubled and it causes extreme tiredness, so on top of work it's hard to find energy for anything.

Started back lc-ing Monday as my heartburn is back with a vengeance (gone from an occasional ranitidene, to daily dose, to twice daily :( )

Made two loaves, one successful one a failiure, the failure was the one with not enough water, i thought the second recipe would make it too wet and sticky but it seems that is exactly what is required.

Well done to everyone who is losing, you are all doing brilliantly.. i hope to join you!
Well done mercy on the evil weed :)

    Evening all :)
On the menu today eggs/tuna/salad/oil dressing/tuna (again) and ummm parsnips lol I know I shouldn't of had them but they were here and needed using(but they did taste good ;) ) Will not buy anymore though. I think all the 'naughties' are out the way now so will have to make a shopping list for tomorrow (and get to try mashed cauli)

mazzers, sorry to hear that you are unwell. (((mazzers))) On the heartburn my mother eats yogurt..

Hoping to get appt to see doc tomorrow to get results of second lot of blood tests. Might get him to weigh me and just tell me how much I've lost.

kafkathecat re: soya it was Dr Lustig answering a Q&A on a video that first alerted me to soya and atm at trying to track down some Israeli research.

devildog parsnips are my demon food I would be feeling horribly dizzy and sort of drunk without alcohol on parsnip soup :D
