Sheila54 ooh lucky woman being pamperedEr I don't bake so no good asking me..wasn't a pastry chef.
I gave up sugar in 1985 and sweeteners this month and I'd be more likely to hanker after tabbouleh or rice than muffins..I think mmm M&S panna cotta but if I ate it I'd probably find it waay too sweet now despite only being 15 carbs. That's a dinner party find though.. you tuck in smirking and people say I can't believe that's low carb..
Current Sainsbury's offers include rump steaks, lamb rump steaks and Attis Greek Feta 2 for £3 according to OH now flaked out after Lidl, ASDA and Sainsbury's run.

i have been looking at LEPTIN Rx ( i think it was Daska that posted the link) leptin reset is supposed to help you become insulin sensitive again, so i thought i may have a go but you have to have 50-70g of protein within 30 mins of waking - i had 3 eggs , haloumi and chicken for breakfast this morning and i had to force it in and i dont think it was near 50g protein either. i would like to do it but i think it will be hard, has anyone tried it??

For the last couple of years I've been on zero carbs...apart from those found in eggs, liver and other organ meats. Then about a year ago I started IFing, but found I still had to restrict calories to maintain any fat losses.
Having had bulimia for nigh on 40+years, and having been ploughing through all the blogs on the site, I found that I would most certainly qualify being Leptin resistant!! So, only 4 days ago, I started the Leptin Reset protocol, and I must say, I'm finding it much, much easier to maintain my current losses with NO CRing, or, as suggested by the protocol, no IFING for the duration.
What I did was eat my usual single/day evening meal at breakfast,....after years of never eating breakfast.... thus obtaining the necessary amount of protein, and find I then only become hungry again around the time I usually have my only meal.... BUT I eat my fill, NO calorie limitations, no worrying how much protein,or fat ....and for those who are on the recommended Paleo diet, carbs!!!
This site is really worth a read...the guy, Jack Kruse, is a neurosurgeon, who was overweight himself, lost 133lb in a year , and found a chemial pathway in the brain, that we can access through diet and other protocols he has discovered, to reach our Optimal health!

Watching Channel 4's Dispatches: Supermarket Secrets on YouTube. OMG the birds go from 0 - full grown in 42 days and Live - Dead in 6 weeks. They are kept in sheds with 38 chickens per square metre and maybe 25,000 per barn and they never see daylight. Then there are machines in processing factories which take off the breasts and legs, the rest gets squished as mechanically recovered meat MRM, separated from the bone. The breasts get injected with up to 40% water !0

I don't buy chicken, fed up with the peculiar smell and tastelessness of it all but I am really really glad I don't now. I like Gressingham duck and I hope that the welfare standards are as good as the website claims. Have to say that they always taste great. Chicken used to taste that good...
D - Turkey Madras made by OH too hot really..0 -
Hi all!
Well, I didn't get the chips but the cider was lovely
The veg crisps are full of flavour but it's an odd one. Quite sweet. Not all that nice but finished the bag. :eek:Will never buy these again (Lidl Deluxe vegetable crisps, seasoned with sea salt)
I eat on average 10 - 12 eggs per week.
By tomorrow at 0700 I will not have had a fag in 4 days, thanks for asking SHEILA!
Felt like I'd gone back in time in the pub. There I was chonging away on my pipe whenever i felt like it. :rotfl:
Anyway, I've got a very small black n stainless steel 1 and it really is quite cool lookingMy lovely Bro has had a go on my pipe and is thinking of getting 1 for himself. :j
A means to an end, may be a while but I'll stop ALL this nonsense eventually:cool: :j

Anyone want to guess what the carb content of a reasonably good quality beef sausage might be? Was very delicious, so delicious that I went on to have another two, and now I have belly ache
(which I'm guessing is probably because of the fillers in it). Otherwise I did quite well today. I had liver pate in romaine lettuce for lunch and completely avoided eating any of the biscuits or chocolate that was being munched on all sides. I also made some scrummy strawberry syrup for DS2 to take into school on Monday for milkshakes - a fund raising scheme for some outdoor equipment but based on nesquik and crusha, eugh! - and managed to resist doing anything more than licking my fingers; thankfully I had some willing volunteers to do the taste test for me LOL (And, yes, the syrup was sugar based but I figure I'd rather he had syrup made with fresh strawberries, apples, water and sugar than a chemical concoction that has never even had a strawberry enter the factory it's made in!)
