it is right that i would eat a BAB (love it!
) full of protein and fat with less than 25 carbs(YES) and hopefully that will keep me full until tea (YES)when i eat protein and fat with minimal carbs ie cauli.(YES) i have to eat within 30 mins of getting up(*) although would be an hour as i walk the dog when i get up before doing anything else. and that i have to have tea 4 hours before going to bed(YES..again!...you're doing well!! :rotfl:). i could only drink water inbetween but can i have a cup of tea with milk with breakfast?( I drink plain, white tea with breakfast AND all day long....but I think it's suggested to eliminate dairy, as a Paleo diet is recommended, and dairy is NOT Paleo!)
(*)Why do you need to eat within 30 minutes of waking? When you’re LR, your diurnal clocks in the brain, the liver, and muscles are all disordered. This is how we will reset those organs to once again act in unison, like an orchestra. If you break this rule, you can still find success, but it will make your reset take longer.
however, real life, as far as I'm concerned, takes precedence, so pooches immediate needs come first....unless you've a garden , so pooch can have a quickie, while you eat your BAB, followed by your walk :rotfl:

Morning all hope you're well/feeling better.
Woke up this morning dead on 0630, I think subconsciously my brain released that oops OH had forgotten to set alarm. There's no way I'm going to start frying eggs that early in the morning ! Admit I went back to sleep until mother called me 0830 to moan about BT (again). Tested BG 9.2 not good. Probably because I had a few crackers with rouille with my soupe de poissons last night.
B- Scrambled free range eggs with mushrooms, cooked in ghee
I was reading about this leptin reset stuff and intermittent fasting and Dr Kruse does state that you can't do the intermittent fasting until you've done the leptin reset.
I don't have a problem with the leptin reset stuff although it does seem a bit like guesswork to figure out if you have it. I'll be asking my GP about this.
The intermittent fasting has me bothered. I have Type 2 Diabetes and from a LOT of reading and talks with HCPs I know that establishing regular eating patterns is important. I may disagree vehemently with most of them about the actual food but not the regularity. People with diabetes and metabolic syndrome need to stabilise blood sugars.
If someone with very high blood sugars doesn't eat and tests, they see their BG dropping and think hey fasting works. Well (a) it's not the fasting it's merely the absence of high carb food and artificially sweetened food/drink (b) if that person is on Glucophage XR (slow release metformin) that affects the amount of glycogen being dumped by the liver. This happened to me. What you need to do is cut the carbs as much as poss, eat regular meals and test BG and you'll see maybe two or three weeks of all over the place figure then it should settle down a lot.
To really understand low carbing, I think I'm going to have to read a lot more about blood sugar behaviors.
No chocolate on the leptin reset eek.. think I may be asking GP if there' another way..0 -

Not sure i can go with no dairy as i love cheese too much. i can cut out milk easy. i did notice he said that you can have cream so can have my tea with cream.
the problem of the dog walking is that if i dont get up and go at 6.30 then he will have to wait until kids at school (i eat breakfast as i am making kids breakfast/lunches) and i am working 2 mornings. i do have a garden but then its the hassle of checking its clean before kids can go out and play. but i will have a think about it and see how i can re-arrange. maybe if breakky is made night before..... hhhmmmm will have a think about it.
i think i managed 30g protein this morning. i will have research high protein breakfasts a bit i think. but not bad for a first day. what sort of thing do you have?0 -
i couldnt work this morning as had to go up school so i have been doing some research. i didnt eat enough protein this morning and am therefore starving but cant eat until 1.
tonight i am going to make a kind of quichy thing with 3 large eggs, 2 square burgers and 1 hot dog sausage and will put some cheese and slice up a tomato on top. i think that will give me over 50 protein without the cheese and hot dog sausage so should be ok. i will then put it in the oven tomorrow morning when i leave for walk and eat it when i get back so around 30-45 mins after getting up. much better than i did today.
i am going to have lunch today but it will be meat and bit of salad. got chicken, broccoli and cauli for tea.

bum ive been having cheese as part of my BAB, i just dont think i would get anywhere near without , this morning i had 3rd of a quiche , 4 slices bacon and a lump of cheese at 7 am ( i cant do the 30 minute thing either as i have to get ready for work 1st so i know i wont be late so its nearer 45 mins
wasnt hungry at lunchtime though but had my lunch at 2pm chicken and veg, i drink tea with my meals and water in between but i do have a drop of milk in it0 -

how long have you been doing it for now?
i have been reading up and alot of people have cheese so i am not going to worry about it. i am probably going to keep having milk in my tea with breakfast as well.
i have made my quiche thing for the next 2 days worth of breakfast. feel alot better when i am organised.0 -

:D ok so far but i am still wanting to eat inbetween meals ( not hungry just habit
)
tomorrows BAB will be the last of the quiche and sausages ( and cheese)
If you manage to reset your IR i will be well impressed, have read the link but it sounds like BS to me i'm afraid, but hope i'm wrong
