Evening all!
Sorry you're not with it yet sweets, I know what that's like. :grouphug:
This teatime I went to Lidl and stocked up on meaty produce. If you have one near you it's worth a visit at mo. They have low carb sausies, sliced hams, bacon medallions and much more all reduced. Good long dates on them too. Bought an avocado and an aubergine in my excitement although I've never used them before
Today
B+snack+lunch
Turkey, cheese, boiled egg, tiny toms (3), mayo with big bag of salad
D - bits of ham, cheese, spicy sausage whilst making up next two lunches
also, 4 thin slices of aubergine, grilled and topped with brie and mediterranean cheese mix. then grilled again.
Was quite nice but think it needed some tomato. Will try again tomorrow to improve the dish.
Quite full now so probably wont have anything else. If I do I'll fess up tomorrow
Any ideas for the avocado?

Feel quite chuffed at the mo. I've just tracked down the next two books in a series I want to read so feel confident that I can start the first one later tonight. I now have with me or on the way 5 out of the 6. All were quite cheap but the missing one costs 4 or 5 times as much as the others  How can that happen?
Have the feeling I'll pay up if the first 4 grab me
Just seem the time! Will have to do the vacuuming tomorrow, shame :rotfl:

Evening peeps
I'm not in a bad mood now - quite laughable that I lapsed so soon after my evangelical rant about scales!! :rotfl::rotfl: That's manic, hysterical laughter btw!!
Anyway, I'm in philosophical & chilled mood now
Been reading my IPD book - still liking it but not liking the inevitable expense if I go ahead with it!! Will have to try a cheaper, more MSE version methinks. Organic products & supplements aplenty seem to feature quite heavily so I'll be shopping around.
I've decided not to do anything until after this Christening a week on Sunday. It's up north again, which means staying with family, eating their food, drinking their wineetc.
In the meantime I'll try to be 'good' but just not as strict as I would be normally so won't be posting menus. :rolleyes:0 -
Mercy, I've never bought avocado either but think you can have it with prawn mayo which is probably a bit 70's?! Just stick some Demis Roussos on while you're eating it!! :rotfl:0

Sounds interesting
Note to self : must dig out that kaftan.......
Just found out that one of the books I've ordered is actually not the one I wantSame title, different author. Can't even blame drink for this one :rotfl: Never mind, might be good
Sweet dreams all!

Helloooo! I'm back (breifly)
Is there anything more deadly than free hotel food? I think I've been a positive angel considering... but see what you think:
Monday
Coconut / flax loaf with whole raspberries
Hardboiled egg, grated carrot and lettuce in olive oil
Egg mayonnaise
Goats cheese with whole fig and salad
Tuesday
(bear in mind that this was the Hilton - these people have pastries, belgian waffles with syrup, cereals, breads, anything you can imagine...)
Fresh grapefruit, 3 softboiled eggs, fried mushrooms, greek yoghurt
Gnocchi with pesto and roasted vegetables, salad and olive oil
Fresh berries with whipped cream
Parmesan and spinach "thing", stilton and brocolli tart
Fresh strawberries and cream in a small tart
OK, I guess I should also mention about 1.5 bottles of white wine... well it was free! :rotfl:
I'm actually looking forward to my weigh-in tomorrow - I had a sneak preview tonight and was marginally lighter than usual (I'd normally expect to be heavier in the evening). I do have big purple shrink-marks (as opposed to stretch-marks) in my inner thighs at the moment, for the first time in ages. Oh and I have had excess energy (running home from work, getting up at 4am...).
Maybe all that swimming in the hotel pool helpedMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Morning!
Well badger, I don't think that list looks too bad, considering. Just the pasta and potential pastry in the tarts really. (I'll not mention the wine)
Doubt I'd have had that kind of will power in your situation. Sounds like really nice food tooLuck for the weigh in, bet you've run most of that off anyway!
Today
B+snack+lunch
wafer thin ham, chopped spicy sausage (like pepperami) Cheddar, boiled egg and mayonnaise. Plus 60g mixed lettuce and spinach.
D - plan to do more with the aubergine, will let you know what later. Not yet convinced but have a large amount of the outrageous veg in the fridge so will do something
Forgot to say, only managed 2L water yesterday, must try harder
Beautiful day here! I've got Friday off for delivery and plumber, so short week. Hope the weather lasts.
TTFN!

Cheers Mercy! Actually, just did the weigh-in and I think I can safely say I'm now 10st13. Not exactly a massive change, but it's the first one in three months! :rotfl: So I'm chuffed to bits.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

I have just found this thread (still learning!!) and have been inspired to give low carb diet another go. I followed a similar diet a few years ago (think it was called the X factor or similar) and felt fantastic as well as losing a fair bit of weight.
Should I buy ketosticks to check ketone levels when starting out? Where online can I get them?
There are so many supplements that I have read that you are advised to take - which do I really need?
Is there a way I can save this thread to a favourites list or do I just log into the forum each time?
Thanks again and I'll keep you posted on how I get on0
