Thanks for yet more recipes mercy

Sweet, i not only accepted gratefully, i kept saying things like 'so you think i'm looking slinky then' and 'look how loose my top is' etc, etc.. I milked it a bit :rotfl:

Didnt get to chance to weight yesterday, so weighed today and have lost another lb overall, prob more this week as i had put on but am looking at the overall trend now.
That makes 10lb so far in eight weeks, not particularly good, but not bad either.

Tis disheartening, i have had lots of those weeks, but look at the overall results, it is going, albeit slowly, and who knows, maybe if and when the fat cells eventually give in and let go, we may get a mega-loss..
  • Well I am back on track peeps. Lost the weight I put on also a bit more and feeling really good about things. I find out side family, work mates make things so so hard. But I must remember I am doing this for MY health not theres. I am off shopping in a bit to find some more low carb stuff to eat. Also spent yesterday doing a cook off and freezing lots of stuff. Will spend tomorrow doing some low carb baking. O and yesterday I did a 6 mile bike ride and found it so so easy.
sw start date 23/09/2013 4 st 8 pounds to go....as of 21/10/13 not 3 stone 7 to go for first target. updated 18/11/13 now 2 stone 10lbs to go to first target.
  • alias, why are you weighing after one day?! I could slap you woman!! I thought twas agreed that scales are bad!! Please, please put them away/take the batteries out, whatever, but just don't weigh yourself again!!

Look what happened to me - last week I was 4lbs off (all smiles & much congratulations) but I was hungry one day so I ate some toast & then weighed myself the next day to find 2lbs back on. So I ate some more toast & a couple of fondant fancies & weighed myself the next day to find another lb on. And so the week & lbs went on until yesterday I weighed 8lbs more than the previous Monday!!

The moral of the story is I weighed myself too much!! If I hadn't weighed myself after those first 2 pieces of toast then maybe I wouldn't have continued the carb-fest, I'll never know. But I know that those 2lbs on the first day were only water weight & they would have disappeared as quickly as they arrived had I not weighed myself & got disillusioned, disheartened etc etc.

Ok, I'll stop ranting now, I'm angry with myself & don't want you to go the same way just because of what those stupid scales say!!

Btw I only came on here to check the recipe for coconut muffins!! :o Am re-starting low-carb today. :D

Oooooooh what am I missing out on? I might want an excel graph too. :D

Sweet...I have no idea. I am my own worst enemy sometimes. I also was not blessed with patience. I will take the battery out (cos I am also lazy and I wont bother to go get one to put back in. :o).

I decided to kid myself on in the hope it would make me feel better...and it has. :D I'm wearing my fat trousers...the ones I wore at the very start and of course they feel baggy now so I feel thin again. :rotfl: All psychological twaddle but it's working for me, lol. I'm so sad.:o

I'm off to have my omelette.

Happy you're rejoining us Sweet. :T

Well done to those who have lost again btw.

    Hi alias

Sorry to hear you're still down on the diet. Which bit of atkins are you doing at mo? I've heard it's a good idea to re-read the basics to re-motivate. Maybe (ducking just in case here :)) go back on induction?

Try the mockolate danish if not currently inducting, I found it ok on it's own but totally delish with cream.

I agree, stop with the scales, they are the devils devices and created to torment the low carb soul! By using them you are just looking, in a roundabout way, for another reason to eat toast.:rotfl::eek: We all do it.

Someone said (think it was mazzers?) That the more water they drank, the more they wanted. Try that for a bit, 2Litres. You may find it's not so bad at all.

Best o luck hunni and a big hug from me!
