Forgot to mention that I looked at the basics peanut butter in Sainsbugs last night and it also said 3.9g, like Minihauk's. Just looked on mysupermarket and it says 6.2g sugar... <shrug>

Finally got a grinder (got a Genie Mazzers
:D ) and bought some golden Linseeds. Made that lc paleo bread and have to say it's surprisingly nice. Not sure I'll be able to leave it alone though :o
It is rather 'shallow' though. I've cut it into 13 little slices and had 3 already! Dunno how many carbs. but I think DM said something like 5 or 6 for the whole loaf, so I might count each slice at 1g...

About to crack open some 'Cotes du Rhone Villages' now. Was half price in Mr T's, from ~ £11, so it's a more expensive wine than we're used to
:rotfl: (had Jacob's Creek last week and liked it). I'm wondering why it has a screw top though.. I always thought that meant it was a cheap wine... <confused>

Lol wrote this about an hour ago.. forgot to post again

.....who seemed to think that I plated up complete meat and two veg mini meals that we ate together at the dining room table.

    From:- http://wine.about.com/od/storingwines/a/Screwcaps.htm

Natural cork closures have a centuries-long heritage; however, they allow for a bottle of wine to be “corked” as the saying goes. A “corked” bottle has a musty smell and taste that stems from TCA (2,4,6-Trichloroanisole) - a substance used to sanitize the natural cork prior to bottling. The result is a flat, moldy flavor devoid of fruit-filled taste and aroma. It is estimated that about 5-10% of wines available on merchants' shelves are “corked.”

Synthetic corks, derived from plastic, appeared to be a viable alternative to traditional corks. However, their track record has been tarnished due to their inability to keep oxidation at bay for any real length of time, significantly decreasing the shelf life of a wine and short-changing the maturing process of select wines.

Screw caps provide the best seal for bottled wines, and eliminate the “corked” and oxidation problem in one fell swoop. Hogue Cellars completed a 30-month study comparing natural and synthetic cork closures with the Stelvin screw caps, their findings suggest significant benefits in utilizing screw caps over either natural or synthetic cork closures. While, screw caps do diminish the drama and romance of bottle opening it is well worth the sacrifice to ensure a taint-free wine that offers consistent aging, maintained flavor and freshness with optimum quality control.

Oh thank you. Makes sense :)
Yes I am enjoying it. It's very nice. Quite full-bodied methinks

Your second link confused me a little.. maybe it's my 'winey haze' :rotfl: Perhaps you're trying to suggest that I could have searched myself.. sure I could, but I spend far too much time doing that. Why have a dog and bark yourself :p Sorry, just being silly: blame the vino :D

Made this again for 'tinner'. Used way more spinach than it said, but it soon shrunk down and was fine. Made egg fried cauli rice to go with it. Boys didn't fancy curry so I was able to make it nice and spicy hot for me and OH. Was deeeeeeeeeeelish! Had a second helping of curry.. stuffed now!

Wow, not drinking makes drinking cheap doesn't it... lol! Only on my second 'normal' glass of wine and feel drunk! :rotfl:

    Hi

Well done with the fasting sunnyday & mazzers, be interesting to see if you lose next week

Spoke to Dr today and it appears that my body is struggling to maintain throxine levels so I have to retest in 3 months. Maybe that is why I am feeling tired and my weight loss has slowed. Anyway, no excuses, my exercise bike should come next week and I am going to try to jolt my metablolic rate.

    breakfast - 1/2 avacado (2 carbs)

    Lunch - chicken and vegetable curry ( 7 carbs , I guess)

Evening - 2 sausages, onions, broccoli, cauliflower and swede mash ( 10 carbs)

2 cups decaff coffee with cream and sweetener + 1 sq chocolate and handful nuts (8 carbs)

Stil not heard from Mercy. Wonder if she is ok?

How are you feeling hannoja? Let's hope that the curry speeds up your recovery.

Yeah where is Mercy..........? <peers around>

Sort of feeling better thanks Sheila.. That Difflam spray is good stuff. Really helped today. Evening has brought back the unfomfortable swallowing and blocked nose, though the vino is beating the heck out of 'the edge' :rotfl: so not feeling too bad.

Gonna watch TV soon. OH said I'll be asleep in half an hour. I'd like to feel indignant, but he's probably right. Heh.

Sorry about your medical problems Sheila. You seem very positive though, so I'm sure you'll get the better of it sooner or later. Annoying how they want to retest in several months isn't it..? I have to have my blood retested in a few weeks, 'just to be sure'. Meanwhile I daren't take any vitamins/minerals in case they affect it.. Hope it goes well for you :)

Hi peeps, by the time i've caught up with all the posts i forget what i was gonna say to everyone.. it's old age im afraid :D

Mr G, i had a great mental image of you and your cat having a romantic meal :rotfl:
    Some people are so OTT.

Han, glad your feeling a bit better :)
Odd about the peanut butter, i will get some and email them i think.

Thanks skymist for the search engine ;) am so fed up of searching for something and having it appear everywhere for bloody weeks.

Good luck with the exercise bike Sheila, i really should use my cross trainer but i just cant be bothered, maybe i should drag it into the lounge

Been very good today, nothing but water from 9pm til 4pm.. 19 hours :j surprisingly easy, even watched everyone eating chips/sandwiches/crisps while i had a coffee.

Had plenty of energy all day and the mild hunger pangs pass, prob coz you know you can eat til you are full later.

Need to eat healthier meals tho as at 4pm had faggots/peas/chips and a cuppa, 7pm had 2 chicken thighs and a piece of mexican fudge :D and a few pieces of choccy.

I'll get there hopefully and the idea for me is to not get an insulin response all day, it will be interesting to test my BG on my day off (will be a challenge sticking to it when at home tbh).

I do believe that I was asleep on the sofa somewhere between 9 and 10. Was trying to watch New Tricks, but kept dozing off.

Just had another look at 'Start page'. Interesting stuff! Scary old place, tinternet! Thanks Skymist. I intend to make use of it :)

Yesterday was good, though the evening will have sent the carbs up rather high I imagine..

    B: 2 frankies (1.4g)
L: 3 little slices of lc bread with a little cheese (~3g?)
T: Chicken Saag curry (no clue.. let's take a wild guess at 10g carbs..), 1.5 glasses red wine. (~6g)

    O: Tea, coffee, ~3 pints water/green tea+lemon, s/f gum, 3 s/f strepsils, square of 85% choc. (~2g).

    Total carbs: ~23g..?

Exercise: Doggie walk, 20 mins. Zumba, 35 mins. Yoga.

Still not sure whether to go to w*rk: sore throat has eased, but kind of 'slipped down' into my chest.. got one of those annoying coughs where you keep coughing to try and clear something but it doesn't work, so you cough more and end up feeling sick and giving yourself a headache.. Blocked nose too which I find extremely irritating  There's also the aspect of spreading germs, but no-one ever thinks of that do they..? If I phoned in and said, "I'm not coming in today because I don't want to give everyone germs" they'd think I was bonkers. I guess I'll go in and spread my germs around, then watch as others go off sick over the next couple of weeks :p

P.S: Good luck with your fasting, Mazzers, Sunny and Co.. :)

Hope that your chest is better today. Why do you have to have repeat blood tests, just to be sure? You probably mentioned it earlier but I didn't pick up on it?

mazzers, sistercas and sunnyday - I admire your persisitance with the fasting and hope that all this effort shows on the scales!!

Off to London to replenish my stores. I sell on Ebay for my sins, since I was made redundant a few years ago. It fits in around my life and minding the grandchildren. Sitting is not good for the backside, hence the exercise bike!

    Have a good day everyone!
