Ratatouille: courgettes onions, aubergines, peppers, tinned chopped tomato, seasoning.
Cheescake: 9g carbs for the whole thing (8" diameter). The sliver she eats in a day probably doesn't amount to 1/2g of carb.
All our food is home made and she only has a couple of cups of decaf in a day.
Again, the amount of nuts she eats probably only equals 3 or 4 grams of carbs.
Check the carbs in the stock cubes, if they`re oxos then two cubes would be around 4.4g, one ounce of stilton (a tiny 28g) is around 3 carbs, broccolli, i`m just having a quick google but the soup could be at least 10g carbs and combined with the onions peppers and tinned toms the total daily carbs could be quite a bit more than you would expect.

Thanks for that. The diet plan we are on reckons that carbs should be kept between 40 - 60 grams a day. Looking at the figures it may be that she is actually eating more than she thinks.
The pot of soup alone works out at around 100g so each bowl full is around 12 grams of carbs. :shocked:0 -
Thanks Sheila and Sunny (sorry if I missed someone: this thread is bizzee lately
). No it's not better. It's yuck. Bought some s/f strepsils last night: woman in pharmacy dept. in Sainsbugs said I should go to Doctor. Dunno if I can be bothered. Then there's the ridiculous prescription charge  Found some Difflan spray in cupboard last night. Will see if that helps.. If not better by Mon. I'll go.
I stupidly stayed up till about half 12 last night, fiddling about with web site design and part watching/listening to TV. Doesn't help if you're not 100% does it..
Yesterday went like this:
B: 2 frankies (1.4g)
L: Prawn cocktail (~4g)
T: ~1/4 'Mexican fudge' (which I've renamed to 'Mexican quiche':p ) (3g) with salad: lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, red cabbage. (~5g?) Warmed half the 'quiche' up in micro. - we preferred that half. Was nice
Other: Tea, coffee, 5 pints water/green-T+lemon, s/f gum, s/f cola bottle, peperami, lump of cheese, s/f Strepsil... (~4g?)
Total carbs: ~18g..?
Exercise: Hour's doggie walk, 20 mins. Just Dance 2 e.s., Yin Yoga for spine (Mmm.. gorgeous).
Spent some time messing about on MyFitnessPal, FatSecret and SparkPeople the other night. A bit depressing to discover that my weight and measurements is the same as a year ago..However, I'm choosing to look on the bright side: I have now lost the stone I re-gained, and am getting fitter.
P.M.A. ftw!
Happy day

Hello..again,I started the month with good intentions and all seems to have gone the way of my hips(VERY pear like):o.

Hiya peeps
schoolhouse :hello:
Well so far so good, its past 12 now and only 2 cups of tea have passed my lips (can`t drink just water) and no food
Just back from running all my errands after an early start. I`m a bit tired but thats not down to the lack of food, DH has got a bad knee and didn't thinks that he would be able to carry little old doggie upstairs to bed last night (he's like an anvil) so i said that i would stay on the sofa as i didn't have to w*rk today. I didn't sleep so well and when i woke this morning found that after i had fallen asleep he had managed to carry him up after all.
I told DH this morning that he may benefit from keeping away from carbs for a few weeks to see if this helps him but i doubt very much that he would stick to it. He has to go for blood tests next week - he has had a lot of joint problems recently and is convinced that it is arthritis creeping in.
I have mild arthritis and take cod liver oil each day and DH started this too but never kept it up. He is rake thin and eats like a horse *goes green* and is a massive bread and pastry fan. I think that changing his habits could be one of the most difficult things that i`ve ever tried to do, i've only ever suceeded for short spells and have no control over what he eats at w*rk so i have an uphill battle but i think i shall give it another try.
I'm aiming for no food today until at least 5pm - hopefully later so that will give me around 9 hours as i was late eating last night, tea will be chicken breasts stuffed with mozarella and wrapped in bacon with buttered cabbage and leeks. I have no snacks in the house so no choccy or nuts for me today, i`m waiting until we have been to @ldi for the supplies and i have the £5 off a £30 spend voucher from the newspaper yesterday - first time i`ve bought a paper for years
Lots of tidying up to do now but i think that i`ll have a browse first
Have a fabby Friday everyone

I'm not sure about the IF thing. For years until I got married I only ate once a day.

What were you eating, if I may ask? And drinking?
Obviously...and I'm not suggesting this is so in your case Gloomendoom...if you eat a lot of carp carbs, you can eat a lot of calories with very little nutrition and this won't help you to become and stay slim. Ther are some very large vegans and vegetarians walking around, as per this chap!!

I've been doing IF with CR on a very-low-to-zero carb woe for over a year now, and lost those "last-5-10lbs" that are ALWAYS sooo hard to shift.
As with every diet/woe, each one effects each person differently, with factors of age, gender, genetic background and hormone status etc. also holding great sway over a diets outcome.

Ah... well... errrrr... anything I wanted. I was a bachelor! Probably way too much.
Actually, I've never been into eating carp. Most of my food was cooked by me from scratch and included a lot of fish and veggies. I like veggies.
I used to share the fishy, meaty bits with my cat as he was a fussy eater and didn't like tinned cat food. I mentioned this on the Pets forum once and it prompted a tirade of indignation from amateur feline nutritionists (with the best of intentions) who seemed to think that I plated up complete meat and two veg mini meals that we ate together at the dining room table. I didn't, and he also got fed fancy dried cat food too to make sure he got all his essential minerals etc.0
