Sarah - you should never feel embarrassed to say anything on here, we will always love and support you

    I second that :A

PS - I confessed to a passion for Jeremy Kyle the other day - now who needs support :rotfl: :rotfl:

Dont think we need to revisit all the things that I've confessed to / shared :o  was so embarassed a couple of times I nearly disappeared off the forums for good, but you're all so f****** fabulous that I have to keep coming back :D

Ras - wise words & yes it's not always easy... but I have a better relationship with both my daughters than I did with my mother who had all the security of a husband & no financial concerns  .

Sarah - there are many routes to maternal fulfilment; fostering, sponsoring & adoption just 3 off the top of my head apart from your own - if you have the love to give, then you will find an outlet for it & you will be fabulous at it too :A

I actually quite like my 'super auntie' role to 2 neices and a nephew. I get all the good bits - and the lie ins!!! :rotfl:

Going shopping with my 13 year old neice at the weekend - I am her hero! She doesn't see me as old, fat or poor - just a vision with fabulous shoes!!! :j

I got quite lucky with my nephew. He would discuss with me the bits he couldn't discuss with his mum (my sister). His father was mostly absent so I was sort of uncle, mentor/counsellor, and guy he could have some fun with too. Probably one of the things in my life that I actually made a decent job of.

    Thank you - I'm back :j

And shoe purchases are always justified on the following grounds :
    1. they do NOT make me look fat :rotfl:
    2. they are F Fabulous :rotfl:

I agree with you here, she is not my favourite person but I have cut out an interview on how she met her husband to inspire me, felt very close to home and at this stage, how I hope things will turn out for me.

I agree totally and that is something I have thought about doing, just need to get myself straight financially first, you are right, the right person is not in my social circle at the moment so I need to widen it. I do feel that within a year I will be in a much stronger position and things will change then. Because they have to, the current situation hasn't been very successful. :o

What I would suggest is that you do not put all your egs in one basket.

So be ruthless and do things once. if something appeals or someone appeals do it twice. If nothing comes from that do something else.

PS - if they are skint - think very carefully. Horrid but essential unless you think they are good house husband material.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Lula, I have eleted the previous SAID thread from my subscriptions as I don't want to see it again, the only way I can keep posting is to go onwards and upwards and ignore my previous needy rambings:rolleyes:

Ras - wise words & yes it's not always easy... but I have a better relationship with both my daughters than I did with my mother who had all the security of a husband & no financial concerns  .

Agree totally here, am not close to my mother in any way and my aim if I have children is to prevent that, I will not be my mother.

I have thought about the other routes, I really do feel I have a lot to offer and I am not going to let this drop, I want my own child but I will find a way to do something. But I want to explore all the avenues of having my own child first.

    Thanks Lula:A
