I've pretty much just pledged this on my diary - after Sarah scared me with the year quarter over thing :rotfl: We have to motivate each other this week!!! :D

wine located & consumption now in progress, along with cheesy puffs :o
I would be no good at a civilised party, I always think cheesy puffs complement a glass of wine perfectly, none of this crudites nonsense.

*remembers and goes to retrieve huge bag of cheesy puffs purchased this morning to go with wine and put in cupboard*

It is scary that it's a quarter of the way through the year, I have hardly done a thing, despite yet again saying this will be My Year. I have said that so many times now that surely by the law of averages I will have to be right soon.

I don't think we are very good at motivating each other, we are more of the "oh cheer up, you can start again next week and anyway chocolate is a necessity and those shoes sound lovely" type:D

Absolutely :D , you will be guest of honour at my party & anyone bearing houmous or pepper sticks or celery will be barred from entry :rotfl:

Shoe Gal - as I now have a family do looming at an alarming rate I am entrusting you with my motivation - please dont lose it ;) .

How about we post here what we plan to consume to the following day, or is that too scary  . I fear that it's not physically possible to lose a stone in 12 days :( at least not without mislaying your mind alongside

Lula, are you sure your scales are not broken, will all this exercise I am sure you will have lost something, when the batteries in my scales are about to go, they start to show all sorts of wierd things.

I will have another 10 days off soon apart from the Easter weekend so am hoping to have yet another go at the dieting, if I can just lose half a stone I will get the motivation I need to carry on, be able to fit in a few more things and earn another tick on my list.

I think it would be very difficult barring extreme acts to lose a stone in 12 days but I know from experience that juicing, although very expensive and time consuming, is very good, I lost 7lbs in a week once even though I cheated and had a meal in the evening.

    wow - 7lbs in a week :j

sadly it's being DFW & a mother that prevents me from being thin  Believe me when I say that if I didnt have to feed a child there would be nothing but wine & milk in my fridge.

Sadly the scales are perfectly fine - I would tend to agree with you normally given the amount of exercise I've done in the last 4 weeks but all my clothes & the tape measure confirm the scales' story too

I really do believe it's what I eat rather than the quantities & I fear the culprit is carbohydrates -

Never mind eating to be slim, I need to retrain my mind & eat for health & accept that I cannot eat bread, pasta, cakes, biscuits etc .

Dear wol2 suggested that I pretend I have a wheat allergy & I think she may be right  also need to pretend I have a sugar one too :(

I agree with the carbs idea and especially bread, I do think that's the one but sadly it's just so easy to just make a sanwich or put some in the toaster when you're hungry:rolleyes:

I know that when I cut out carbs I lost 2 1/2 stone in 4 months so it is doable, it just depends on meal planning though and I can's seem to get back into it. I think I will start doing the Atkins diet again though, it is deadly dull and can be expensive, but it does work. Need to stop ruining everything in the evenings, I am quite good in the day, but then out come the cakes/chocs/biscuits.:o

That settles it, from the 1st April I am back on the Atkins diet. And I think I will have to post here what I have eaten each day as when I have my lists I do a lot better. It is easy and was responsible for former sylphness, I know I can do it, I just can't motivate myself:mad: Right, tomorrow's task, throw out all carbs, if they are not here I can't have them. Stock up with meat, fish and veg and get back on the fruit teas.

    Good plan :D

I was really enjoying the ham /chicken salads with fruit & nuts for snacks, I even felt better with the water & lemon too & started not to miss my tea & coffee.

Yep a sandwich / toast is the easiest thing in the world . . . . . apart from fruit or those dam crudites :o

Oh well, looks like my new regime has started according to the clock so best get myself off to bed.

Monday menu : water with lemon all day, fruit, nuts & ham & salad

    Ooooh yippee cant wait

    night night
    xx

I love hot water and lemon, and I did like the salads when I got round to making them, so I am going to give it a go, hopefully the weather is going to get warmer so that will make salads easier.

Your Monday menu appears to be the same as mine, minus the fruit for the first few weeks. Good luck, am also going to start tomorrow, strike while the iron's hot etc. ;) Will have to post on here to keep me on the straight and narrow. Might even manage a walk to the shops:D

    Night night x

    Hi sarah,

just thought I'd pop in with a brief update to keep you motivated in case you log in :D

Yummy hot water & lemon for breakfast, now on 2nd glass of water with lemon & had a handful of fruit & nuts a while ago. without even thinking I scooped out a second handful then realised what I was doing & put it back :o

The headache kicked in about 10 minutes ago but isnt too severe, I think this might have to be for life  rather than just to lose weight :(

    Hope you're coping ok :D
