Better still to teach your child to make tea & buy it a year's subscription to club penguin
you wont even hear from it until about 10 o clock on sunday
Ooh, good tip. *Makes mental note to force child to join 2 book clubs, I don't do Sundays til 12*
Does anyone know how to concieve a child who is not interested in after school clubs/brownies/football/Wii? I will only tolerate 18 years of silence followed by university.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Hi Buffy,
sorry to hear you're not wellhave one of these :grouphug: & I wish you better very soon.
Sarah - sometimes you have to have 2 attempts to create perfection;
DD1 - doesnt like reading much, only attended school to socialise, needs loads of attention & talks - alot  but also loves shopping, clothes, make up fabby stuff etc & brings fabby stuff for mothers day:D
DD2 - doesnt care much for clothes - would wear pyjamas all day if allowed  but reads a book every 2 days, works hard at school & potters quite happily in own little world not requiring much attention other than hugs, kisses & a sympathetic ear & advice on how to handle friendships
If only I could find 2 men that would fulfil all my needs then life would be perfect :rotfl:0 -

Well, I have been thinking that I will do it, with or without someone, as I could manage if I put my mind to it, but is life any fun if you have to manage? But is it fun if you miss the opportunity to have children if you really want to? In an emergency I could throw myself on the mercy of my parents (would have to be an emergency:D ). But I don't just want a baby, I want the whole package.
One of my friends said last week, "You'd make such a lovely mum." Nearly chokedBecause I really think I would:o (Think I may be hormonal:o )
Sarah
Personally, i do not recommend single parenthood, whether you arrive there in the maternity ward or the divorce courts. All the studies show that as a singleton, women are worse off than in a partnership. I am speaking both as a child and as someone who seriously contemplated single parenthood and for whom time ran out.
There is nothing rationale about wanting to raise kids and rationally, I wonder why anyone does.
But if you want to have kids, then it is time to get out of your comfort zone. She may annoy me sometime but Mariella Frostrup made some very good observations. She gave up looking in her late thirties and did a couple of things that were right out side her normal comfort zone and "literally fell over her husband to be".
Plainly the right nearly right person is not in your social circle at the moment. So now is the time to do the sort of things you would never dream off. If you are broke, that may mean volunteering rather than posh holidays but it is still worth doing. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

I'm surprised everyone missed this cry for help, although you did mention lack of chocolate which made me skim it first read as I cant compute anything without chocolate in itI just had 11pm munchies and ended up with egg mayo and chopped ham, would much prefer a cookie but cannot following my depressed bingefest on Saturday, when I sent mum to the shop with order of buy lots of meat and bring me a toffee crisp and a boost bar which I scoffed then promptly that evening let SC's housemate make me a bazillion pancakes with lemon & sugar
On the child front, you do manage to afford them, I have no idea in hell how, but it seems to muddle together. I'll agree with Lula on the many people not having children till late 30's early 40's so try not to let it consume you too much Sarah (although I know thats difficult as cant follow own advice!)
Update on the Ossi household fun ..... CCCS want me to go bankrupt following my last review, not too happy with that though as I really want to be a book keeper. Sc has had a few debt type problems cropping up but will have to cross that bridge if we move in together later in the year  Still sorting out the exDH house, its taking a little shape, just not as quick as I would like. Hoping to be in there by end of my ECDL course about June. Have been invited to Scotland to meet SC mum and sister, apparantly I am either wonderful or crazy to have been with SC this long so they are keen to check me out :rotfl:
Anyway, love to all and I am going to get back to lurking!0 -

I agree with you here, she is not my favourite person but I have cut out an interview on how she met her husband to inspire me, felt very close to home and at this stage, how I hope things will turn out for me.Plainly the right nearly right person is not in your social circle at the moment. I agree totally and that is something I have thought about doing, just need to get myself straight financially first, you are right, the right person is not in my social circle at the moment so I need to widen it. I do feel that within a year I will be in a much stronger position and things will change then. Because they have to, the current situation hasn't been very successful.
Thank you very much for your advice, much appreciated xPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0
