Quite  not sure how much longer I can cope without delicious granary sandwiches or warm crusty baguettes :( it's been 9 days now ( apart from that burger & 2 slices of pizza incident)

Now, if only I could learn to cope without sweet stuff then I think I might see a bit of success

You are putting me in the path of temptation. :oI will not go downstairs, find that baguette and spread it with (I whisper the word) butter and lime marmalade. Instead, I shall have a piece of dried pineapple, and contemplate the size of my hips.

I'm sure you will see a loss soon, I do think wheat is the real culprit for a lot of people. With all the walking you were doing there has to be a reason. I'm sure I read about someone on these boards who reintroduced bread and put on 10lbs in a couple of months. It's so easy to have sandwiches at work though, need to think of something else I can have that is quick and easy.

Coping without the sweet stuff just feels impossible at the moment, I know from the last time I lost a lot of weight I cut out all sweet stuff completely, it was actually easier than cutting down.

Glad it's not just me that struggles with sweet stuff :o, I really thought I'd find the bread & pasta harder than it has been. I dont miss it as such, it's just a bit awkward, as you say a sandwich is just so easy.

How about soup for lunch, I know, I know, nowhere near as much fun without a hunk of warm buttery bread

It was Wol who said about gaining 10lbs & suggested we have a wheat allergy to help our cause, & she is very slim which is why I'm sticking to it :D. I do think my hobnob baking binge might have had something to do with the increase too :o so am not making any more. !!!!!! this moneysaving by cooking malarkey, it's making me fat, I shall desist immediately.

Coughing too much now so going to head off for bed with my glossy for a read & sleep that apparently is going to make me lose 10lbs

    night night

    Thanks Sarah :A

Almost scared to mention this (!) but have you noticed on the front page there are details of a discount on Kurt Geiger shoes that involves buying a magazine !!! Now that's the sort of MSE I like :D

I have this magazine (I get Elle on subscription) but the discount is £15 which sounds good until you realise most KG shoes are over £100.

However if anyone feels the need for a pair of KG shoes send me a pm and I'll post you the voucher. You migth as well save the £3.70 for the mag as well!

    Hi All

Been out this eve so not been in to catch up and have seen I've missed out on a lot this eve!

VSS - would love to join in your virtual training session. If I could get rid of my bingo wings I would love you forever..... I do ride my bike to work each day but it is only 10 mins each way so not really that much exercise:o

Sarah - glad you turned off stupid radio debate thingy - how annoying!

You have all eaten far better than me. I had an unexpected buffet lunch at work - mini scotch egg, quiche, coleslaw, sausage roll etc plus a doughnut. And someone gave me a hot cross bun this morning. Then was going to eat some soup for dinner before going out but didn't have enough time so had a Kinder Bueno on the way instead (hmmm, not entirely sure that is a suitable meal replacement????) And a glass of red wine (anti-oxidants) and a packet of crisps in the pub.

I did however have an ORANGE!! see I did manage something healthy!:j

Lula - howabout honey as sweetner? Or would that be a carb??? Most confused with no-carb diet to be honest.

I follow a diet sometimes (not today obviously) which has no white or refined flour products (so you have wholemeal bread, pasta etc) and I eat a lot of oatcakes when I do this. I like the taste of them and they are good for you too! I quite like them with a bowl of soup.

Hi all, the dentist was not as bad as I feared:D I thought it was a filling but it turned out to just be a check up on some previous work, I do need a filling but I will wait until next time, due to cost really, am going to be quite poor this month.

Anyway, I decided I would open an isa today, so went in search of my passport for ID as I have misplaced icon8.gif my driving licence, only to find I have also misplaced my passport icon8.gif. They must be in my room somewhere but I just cannot find them:confused: So, I decided to have a huge overhaul of all the documentation, statements etc lying around in boxes and files, some of which I have discovered is over 5 years old:eek: Why am I hoarding all this stuff?

This of course could not be achieved without a shiny new document file, so have been to the shops for file (£5.99), a totally unnecessary letter rack which I thought might suit the new, organised:rolleyes: me (£2.49) and a large cappuccino :o(£2.60).

Am now busying myself with the actual destroying and filing, had no idea when I started what a mammoth task it would be, but I want to get everything I need in one tidy file to avoid the horrible panic when I need something and have no idea where to start. I want to be able to behave like a proper in control adult for a change:rolleyes:

Am hoping the decluttering will give me more room and stop me feeling so "crushed" and overwhelmed whenever I look at the corner of my room. Am also hoping to save the cost of replacement passport and licence:rolleyes:

Have had nothing to eat today due to dentist and rushing around so have got sausages and mash cooking, I know it's not very good re the diet but I am starving and I did have the capuccino without sugar:o

I have now filled 2 bin bags with stuff I had no need of:rolleyes:

Unfortunately my room looks as if i have been burgled. Now i have started it I'll have to finish, was also planning to use this week to make at least one bag of books for the charity shop, have a ruthless declutter of the wardrobe and buy and construct a small table for my room, so if I can manage at least some of that I will be very happy. Am still seething about passport and licenceicon8.gif I need them for my lovely file.

*wanders off to start new bin bag*
