I think it's a great idea to put those scales away. Not least because everytime you all decide to swap a couple of pounds around the country, they're getting stuck on me here in the Midlands. ;)

Hollyberry - you really cheered me up with that one!!! :D

Today I have had hot water and lemon, salmon and beansprouts, chicken salad, some cheesy puffs, nuts, 3 squares of chocolate and cheese.

Not sure about putting the scales away, I agree in principle and I don't weigh myself every day, but I do like to weigh myself at the weekend just to see how I am doing (usually badly.) :o

    Hi everybody :hello:

My declaration for today - cereal for brekkie, egg mayo and watercress sandwich (homemade too, very DFW!), raspberries, fish cakes and salad, 1.5 litres of water - and I have kiwi fruit for a snack this evening so quite a good day :D

Feeling a bit down about my debts today - don't seem to be getting anywhere and always seem to be skint  23 minutes of pointless conversation with Capital One today, achieved nothing - just a man reading from a script and not answering my question

    Hey everyone,

Shoe Gal just so dont you feel so down I had a very similar conversation with a man from Mumbai on behalf of Capital One a few weeks back. I was telling him how it stank that they were putting my interest rate up & he just couldnt deviate from his script  it was like that game Granny's pants ( whatever the question is, Granny's pants is the answer :o) so I know exactly how you feel :grouphug: debt days are sometimes up & sometimes down ... c'est la vie

Oh hollyberry, you are so lovely, thanks goodness I dont live near you though as I fear your talents in the kitchen would be lethatl on my hips

Very silly & scared aka Guru ;)
I do know that about the weight, it was the first thing I was told at my gym initiation *misses Russell & his tight tight shorts :(* however, it is a big issue for me because I also measure myself regularly & believe me nothing is shifting . I really dont want to do a starvation type diet but I am getting really desperate now. I really really hate how I look & feel that my identity is changing due to this too.

I do 20 mins of yoga each day & will gladly do whatever you tell me in order to annihilate the flab & inches.

I am away for a couple of days, but how about we start to do a few sessions of body conditioning/toning (you should also do some cardio that gets your heart rate up a few times a week but jogging on the spot in front of the computer is probably not going to be very exciting!) on this forum? What does everyone think about that? even if you can only do 5 mins it's better than nothing and we can build it up.

Let me know if you're interested in doing that and I will try to work out the best way of doing it...!

I don't always work regular hours but I usually have time to do things at the weekend, what sort of thing were you thinking of? I am trying to walk to the shops -about 30 mins each way- at least once during the week but that's it at the moment:o exercise is not my strong point.

ShoeGal, try not to worry, I go through phases where I pay loads off and feel really positive, then I have times when I can only just meet the repayments and really struggle to make ends meet, which then of course ends up with me buying lots of treats because I feel down.

Look at your sig, as ClipClop says, you have already cleared one thing, and even if you only made the minimum payments on everything, eventually it would be cleared, so every extra penny you can pay is a bonus and will bring your total down. :j

You think I'm joking. :p It's real LARD, I tell you, LARD. And I don't need any more, so kindly stop freighting it around the country. Most of it can be hidden under a Monsoon flirty skirty - as such things are known in house of holly - but I dunno what I am going to do when the opaques come off. At today's temperatures, that won't be long. :o;)

Lula - I fear that rumours of my culinary talents are much exaggerated. :o It was homemade cherry icecream, but not homemade by me. I still live in fear that we will find some more of the orange marmalade icecream I once made in such copious amounts that I am sure there is still some lurking in the freezer from about 2001.

I have a new tactic for dealing with the people with scripts. I tried it out yesterday with the man who was trying to sell me ID theft protection, payment insurance and possibly his firstborn whilst activating my new credit card. After I had tried asking him a sensible question and listened to five minutes of his sales pitch, I said that I was sorry, I had to go, my fish was thirsty. :p There was no indication that he had heard, understood, or even registered that I had spoken so in the end, I said something else and put the phone down mid-sentence. I have been told that if you put down the phone when you are speaking, everyone assumes you have been cut off, rather than put the phone down on them. :o:D I wonder if the tape will emerge at some point during their training sessions for new customer service bods.

Now off to channel Russell and some tight tight shorts...(Russell BRAND???/GRANT???)....and apply some bleach to my brain for those last two thoughts. ;)

Almost scared to mention this (!) but have you noticed on the front page there are details of a discount on Kurt Geiger shoes that involves buying a magazine !!! Now that's the sort of MSE I like :D
