Hey makeup - sorry your day didnt go as planned

Hmmmmm I can assure you that in no way do I want to marry someone with spending habits like mine :rotfl:In fact I dont think I want to get married at all. Hollyberry may well be right :D

I've just been to Tatco & spent the best part of £100  on my cc - had to do a months shopping for DD

I know I should be glad to be able to help out ... but I'm really struggling with it at the moment :o. She is the only member of my family that knows about my situation & still she went ahead & splurged & now I am paying the price :( ... must be karmas payback for those shoes & the bag :rotfl:

    Hey Lula

I know what you mean but there has to be a happy medium - I mean I'm a lot better with my spending than I used to be but I still sometimes splurge on some gorgeous thing that strictly speaking I don't need...but still it makes me happy.

One of my friends is even more of a shopper than I am and seems to have a boots obsession (as in brown / black knee high rather than the pharmacist) but her husband is definitely much more 'restrained' on the shopping front and so she has been known to sneak in purchases in clever fashion - 'What this old bag..I've had it for ages darling' that kind of thing. Obviously I'm glad my pal is still out there shopping but I would hate to have someone on about my shopping habits all the time (hmm, lack of compromise could be why I'm still single)
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hi everybody :hello:

Peanut butter debate - I love it, don't really allow it in the house - too tempting :o Especially agree with suggestion of straight from the jar with a spoon

makeup - sorry your work stuff went a bit 'pete tong' Totally agree with the doing nothing plans - just what I'm doing after a cr*p day

Lula - not sure what to say about DD1's shopping except I know that my lovely mum would do the same - however much she disapproved/warned me about whatever mess I had got myself into :o

gwen - hope you are feeling better today :A

I love peanut butter on rice cakes - it's my most favourite snack - so you can imagine how disappointed I was when I realised that I've bought bloomin crispbakes (!!!!!!) instead of ricecakes:eek::eek:! Rubbish with peanut butter but I'm struggling through them with nutella:o...

    Hi!

How is everybody? Sounds like there has been an outbreak of carp days. Not good. I can't believe it's July. I just put the heating on because I'm tired and cold and already have a jumper on. I'll just put it on for an hour, then turn it off again. Right, todays list:

    Good things:

    1. Worked hard.

    2. Avoided WT.

    3. Checked online banking - no change.

    4. Checked quidco. Still no change, getting v.fed up with that now

    5. Returned stuff to M&S, more money back on card. Also got their free home catalogue. Might keep me busy, but hoping I won't be tempted to buy stuff.

    6. Took more receipts to Tesco, got Clubcard points put on. They will know me on the CS counter soon :o

    7. Put latest meter readings in online last night, it says my next DD should drop to 95. I will keep putting in readings regularly and trying to reduce energy usage.

    Naughty things:

    1. Two coffees bought at work.

    2. Bought some carp from vending machine at work.

    3. Put heating on for a bit.

I had a look in my freezer/cupboards last night and I don't think it's as bad as I first thought. I'm going to have to be careful, but I have quite a lot of food in. I just need milk, fruit and veg and maybe a couple of things for cleaning. Petrol may be an issue, but I will try to reduce my use of the car as much as possible. I've got lots of other plans I want to start on, but this week is awful at work, I'm tired and have a sore throat and there are jobs I want to apply for. At the moment, I'm concentrating on getting through that. Saturday will be great - relief :D
