I am biased cos I love celery but throwing away food is like throwing away money! find a way to use it!
xxxx
Thanks Buffy, I have had a quick look, some of them look quite easy and I don't like all the ingedients but they seem adaptable. However, unless a hungry rabbit knocks on the door the celery is going in the bin.
I know when I am beaten.
I agree about throwing out food, I try not to, but in this instance I only bought a little bit to test so it's not too bad.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Celery tastes better when dunked in Nutella chocolate spread. Lots and lots of chocolate spread. Note: This doesn't feature in the Slimming World HandbookSaving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

I decided to order a couple of things I hadn't tried before as I know I don't eat a good enough variety of vegetables, in the spirit of which I have just had my first ever taste of celery. _pale__pale__pale_ I cannot believe people eat that stuff, no wonder I am fat if this is how you lose weight.

Celery crops should be burned. It is a disgusting vegetable. ( & I can eat just about anything)0 -

I have been known to sit on the sofa with a jar of peanut butter and a spoon!- sadly this is very bad on the waistline so I don't buy it anymore.... is very nice in sarnies with bananas too

Just realised why we're all single, some bluddy greedy woman out there has 5 husbands ... & she's the only one been caught so far, bet there are loads of them - how selfish

From two years of road testing, I can advise you that one is always sufficient, and occasionally excessive.;):D0 -
Dex - am totally with you on the peanut butter thing. Love it! I too sometimes have celery with peanut butter as a snack. Nigella has a divine recipe for a fried banana and peanut butter sandwich (apparently much loved by the late great Elvis!!)
I have to say, I love celery too. Like it braised in a stew or raw (dipped in salt) Actually can't think of any veggies I don't like...I'm not that keen on courgettes on their own - that's about it.
My day has been v. stressful. My plans didn't work...unsurprisingly as I had entrusted a task to someone who is very very untrustworthy.
Still is over now, although have a nightmare to sort out tomorrow no doubt.
Am going to Tatco and then going to watch TV all evening. No Cleaning / decluttering/ other worth while deeds for me today!I've got my own flat :j:j
