I lived there for a while when I worked at Sellafield. It's alright for a day out at a stretch but I wouldn't recommend any longer than that.0 -

Hello!
Hope you've all had better days. Mine's been a mixed bag. Here goes, good things:
1. Worked hard.
2. Dreaded presentation done and think it was ok - phew.
3. Avoided WT.
4. Cheap fruit and veg from Aldi - mostly 49p bargains. I've got enough new potatoes to last me this month and next!
5. Paid Debenhams card - was worried I might forget about this and it's only 6 pounds, so just paid it. That was an Oasis sale purchase, a black top, which I will not feel guilty about as I've worn it loads already and love it.
6. Called up broadband company with my new card details as my old card has expired and otherwise my payment will bounce I think.
7. Found a cheaper way to call Oz through this website. I have to dial an access number first, but that is fine.
8. Got Nails Inc nail varnish for 1 pound :j
9. Checked quidco, they're still hanging onto my money
10. Checked internet banking - cannot figure out what is going on as my balance doesn't match the list of incomings and outgoings below. I'm going to not spend anything for a few days and wait for it all to settle down. It's not good, but it's a case of judging how bad it is.
Bad things:
1. Some s0d nicked my food out of the fridge at work  Admittedly it was only one of those mini pots of Philadelphia, but still. They might have made a mistake, but I would have though you'd remember what you left in there - led to purchase of expensive sandwich and cake to cheer myself up.
2. One work coffee bought - no more from tomorrow.
Good news on the bill, Lula, you must be relieved
Holly - I am definitely up for some MB, just going to sort my BB out (cheaper supplier + quidco), mortgage and ISA and I will be on it.
Happy Wednesday - we're over halfway there!
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Forgot to say:
Ziggles - Sorry about your fish, I think a day of eating carp is well justified.
nicnacnoo/Lula/anybody else confused by MB - Once me, Dex and Hollyberry are successfully making our millions :rotfl: we will show you. I would offer to explain now, but until I try myself I can't guarantee that I do actually 'get it'.

Hey All
Ziggles - sorry to hear about your fish. Hope things improve for you - and yes, guilt free chocolate is in order. (Most intrigued re: macaroni pie..please elaborate!)
Gwen - v. successful day. No point feeling guilty over £6 top that you wear lots! I used to call America quite a lot and I used to use the calling cards from corner shops. I used to get a card for £3 and it had £5 worth of credit and lasted ages. I think you mostly get them in areas with an immigrant population, so if you're down in London anytime soon you might find it worth while getting one (check out the 'poorer' parts of town). It's a bit of a faff dialling all the numbers but so much cheaper.
Lula - our gas bill was £93 for the last quarter - I got it about 2 weeks ago. We use gas for water, heating & cooking and we've got 3 bedrooms, kitchen & bathroom (no living room).
I've had a good day. Found out I've won £50!! There was a competition at work where you had to answer questions based on the buisness plan. I figured a lot of people wouldn't bother so thought would be worth the effort! And it was! I'm getting vouchers but not sure where they are for yet.
I went out for dinner with a friend and we went to La Tasca with the 50% off food and it was fab and wasn't too expensive.
I've ordered that free Graze box to come next week - would be great to have some healthy snacks.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0
