Hi everybody - happy Sunday :j

I had a fab time at the races :j, didn't win anything tho! Don't worry I didn't go on a mad gambling spree - just a few pounds using the scientiifc (sp?) method of picking a name I liked or a jockey wearng pink ! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Very tired and lazy today :o, just thinking about peeling myself off the sofa and doing something - mainly because I'm hungry and I've no food in :rotfl::D

:eek::eek: do you never offer them to pals or take them into work? I don't tend to keep many these days but they do the rounds of my mates first then go off to work to do the rounds there, lots of the supermarkets have book banks too that go to oxfam or other places so please, please don't bin them.

How were the races BTW? did you have a fab time and win on each race:D?

ooooh, you're making me feel bad now :o No, none of those

I promise I will make an effort - in my defence I'm only talking about cheap, chick lit paperbacks. I do keep 'nice' books but they are piled up under the coffee table  That's why I throw the cheap ones away - no storage :D

Don't want to make you feel bad but it's just such a waste, lots of the ones that get passed between us are chicklit or Jodie Piccoult type thing so not exactly literature! if your mates have similar tastes it saves you all buying copies of the same stuff and frees up more money for shoes:D!

Getting rid of books physically hurts me :( I gave away a massive box of them when I moved from north of Sydney to south as I couldn't carry them on the train. They went to a 2nd hand book store, just given as I didn't have time to haggle.

I've been chatting to the girl all day :D Has been very productive :D I'm just worried that a) I don't have enough time to see her as much as I want and that b) I'm going to end up too attached and be very upset when I leave...

    Hi All

man have you been busy...shoes, bags painting, the races. Nice stuff!
sorry but i am not tidying/decluttering anything today...its a do absolutely nothing day since the sun is actually shining for the second day in a row....after 3 weeks of positively autumnal dricht (read carp!) weather here in the not so sunny highlands!:T

Went to a BBQ yesterday with some single ladies and it only cost £3...and i stuffed my fat little face...only thing missing was some alcohol (church ladies ;)) but i had some later at a not so pure ladies house while the others had coffee :p I just can't help myself!

    lastly...

Seize the moment TDQO i've noticed you keep saying you don't want to get attached and therefore upset...go for it!!! Who knows what tomorrow may bring? You just never know. It will suck if you do get attached but at least you'll have been happy for a wee whiley no?

Well done to anyone who has managed to do any decluttering today, I have spent it lounging around reading:o I have written a list though and will make a start in a bit:o I am determined to have a clean and tidy living space.

I just have too much stuff crammed in here, so I am going to attempt another ruthless keep/charity shop/bin declutter and also have decided to make an ebay pile, just in case I ever do get round to doing something about it:o. I need to keep on top of things,at the moment I am sat in a room which is suffocating me with all it's stuff. In my defence though, it is a small room with very little storage space.

I want to get everything sorted out so that I feel I am in a situation where I can move into a new house fairly easily, whenever I think about getting my own home my heart sinks at how much stuff I would have to move with me, it would take forever. I need to feel that a move would be quick and simple.

I am off to make a half hearted start:o

Good Luck Sarah !! I've barely moved all day and not even made a list, think I'm going to do that though when I get off here. The wire on my battery has just broke, it's been going for a couple of days but I've managed to hold it in place until today, sounded like something inside snapped! :( So if I'm not around for a while it's coz I have a dead laptop and it can take weeks to get back to me when I send it away. It's about the 4th time I've had to send away for a new battery cable.

I'll try get on my sister laptop when I can,. but if I'm not around for a while you know why. Hope you's manage to get some decluttering done, those who intend on it! And hope every one of you has a good, happy, bright week !
