just in case any one is remotely interested.
underwear - matching but really its a cheat cos its only ever black or white
shoes - I love those shoes and am a size five
decluttering - starts tomorrow WITH A vengeance. (oo you could make a movie!)
And TDQO - good luck with the ladies! x
xxxxx
Indeed, Buffy, I should just be thinking that at least my life is interesting to me!!!
I too should be planning a declutter with a vengeance. Maybe we should report back tomorrow evening on our successes?? A mini-Sunday challenge??
I just remembered I was in a fancy shop in Hoxton today and spotted an amazing golden twisted knot rope headband
It is so gorgeous and fabulously expensive but the brilliant sales assistant told me they have knock offs in Top Shop for about £16.
I then impressed him with my Gossip Girl knowledge as Blair wore that one in the season finale which was on Wednesday.
He even let me try it on even though it cost £165 and I was wearing my Tesco top and Simply Be jeans and so clearly was not about to splash the cash any time soon....
Maybe I'll go shopping tomorrow (No no no must declutter)I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Yeah come on Make up, we should report back tomorrow night? say 9 pm?
cos I am out in the morning
If you declutter you could reward yourself with the headband thingy ?
xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hi makeup & sbc & anyone else lurking quietly
What shame about the watermelon daiquiris - they sound delicious. I havent had alcohol in ages, was going to wander to the local shop earlier for some wine but I didnt think the paint spattered baggy trackie pants look was a winner so decided to abstain yet again & had lovely bath instead.
I've had succesful day in that I seem to have recovered my enthusiasm for having a nice home. A friend came over to 'help' but just made a bluddy mess & then moaned so I sent him home again & did the job with DDs help instead. She's a great little decorator ... just a shame she cant nip to the shop for wine as well.
Had a look at the fish site earlier as I havent been on there for ages. The 2 guys I was trying to politely let down gently left me narky messagesbut there was one from a guy I heard from a while ago & sent such a sarcy message I thought I'd scared him off for good
. I'm hiding my profile now though so no one else can get in touch.
I now have plenty to occupy me as have decided to keep on with the decorating until each room is done, rather than do one every 2/3 years
I'm very scared as to how I'm going to cope next weekend when I paint the half of the room that has the pc in ... will definitely need wine if no SAID0 -
Hello all, am definitely up for a declutter challenge tomorrow, have loads to do and need some motivation:D
I went to a bookshop earlier and spent £15 (oops:D) got my Starbucks drink, was yummy cos it was free and the got someone pouncing on me and putting a free gift in my hand in WHSmith, which turned out to be free only if I spent £30 on very carp make up. Doesn't that sound like a bargain? she said, after 5 minutes of talking nonsense. No, I said. (I should know what a bargain sounds like:rolleyes:). I hate being accosted by people selling things.
I have wine but not really in the mood for it. Anyway, today- coins in piggy
- free book on 3 for 2
- free Starbucks drink
- I think I had a successful Tesco shop (I think I will do it again, so much easier to order from the kitchen table and have people bring it round:D)

They look amazing, bright pink, the recipe is in my Nigella book under 'trashy' - I love all things trashy.
I don't normally fancy a drink when I'm home alone but tonight feels like a night for a little something...oh well.Hello all, am definitely up for a declutter challenge tomorrow, have loads to do and need some motivation:D

I know what you mean, spending £30 on rubbish is just not a bargain at all. I somehow ended up watching infomercials yesterday morning and one was for a magic veg peeler that was super strong and made hard things like swede, butternut squash etc really easy and came with a julienne attachment and a mandoline attachment and was simply fabulous (as they would have me believe) I was quite sucked in and thinking what a great product it was ..... and then found out it was £26 including delivery??? who on earth spends that much on a veg peeler. I was thinking I would stretch to £7 for such an item.Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »Yeah come on Make up, we should report back tomorrow night? say 9 pm?

Hoorah - an achieveable challenge!!!
And I love idea of reward.
I'm meeting my friend in the evening so have nothing to do all day except sort out / tidy / declutter my room. Would love to get a sense of calm about my living space!!!!I've got my own flat :j:j

Count me in for the decluttering.
Sarah close your eyes .... I need to get rid of books
In order to do the painting we had to empty the book case which is 2 paperbacks deep so a very surprising amount came off the shelves.
Many are my own childhood books such as the entire Little House On The Prairie collection & a few others that I enjoyed & always hoped my DDs would also love ... DD1 will only read magazines & DD is an avid bookworm but they are just too 'old fashioned' apparently& I do understand what she means. One of my favourites is Charlotte Sometimes but it is set betweent the first & second WWs & just cant compete with Jacqueline Wilson .
Do I really need to keep my O & A level literature booksof course not, but I cant bear to throw them away
. I know that they will all go back on the shelf & confgess to having spent some time on ebay earlier looking for a new bookcase to put in my bedroom

I've seen that ad, they really do make it look great, it makes you think, hmmm, if I got one, everyone would be hugley impressed by how I prepared fruit and vegetables so beautifully in seconds and the fabulous array of julienned veg at every meal:rotfl:Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

 OMG no - perish the thought, I am an avid buyer & recycler of all things recyclable. We rarely have more than one carrier ( degradable of course
) in our wheelie bin.
Right, I'm off to bed now with my most recent ex-library acquisition. Need to get more I think that's my last unread one
night night all

It's an awful thing to have to dobut needs must. I took a couple of bags to the charity shop last year and could probably do a couple more but I am clinging on to the hope of one day having a house with enough room for my own library:D:o
I have to say though that I could never ever part with my childhood books, I would definitely try to keep them if possible. I know you are as allergic to the thought of ebaying as I am, but have you tried amazon for some of them, you only have to type in the ISBN and they put the book and blurb up for you, you might be sitting on a goldmine, I was looking at a book I bought last year and have just read, I checked on amazon and it is selling for £26 even though I only paid £5. I am not selling it though. Not because I like the book particularly, it's because I can't be bothered. But it is worth looking them up, just to see if they might be worth the trouble before you get rid of them.
