Morning all, I've had lovely lie in & am now bracing myself to go to Tatco , will also be buying glamour.

Sarah - obviously you need to do some more clothes & shoe shopping in order to achieve that target. ( that reminds me I must pop in to the clothes challenge :o)

Buffy - I am now wishing I had read Paulgonnabedebt free's advice about using a throwaway mobile before giving my number out. Enjoy the 26 year old :D

Hollyberry - I was both horrified & quite impressed :shhh:

Moo - will be contacting you next time I try to do something clever to earn quidco money

TDQ - Re any future dates I may have ... when are you back with your explosives stash ? :rotfl:

Makeup - Have a lovely weekend hon :j

    See you later my lovelies

Hehe, I've played that particular role about a dozen times for several friends. Turns out I'm pretty good at covert surveillance :D

I'm smoking it up tonight, got some beer and movies too :D

makeup - A weekend on a cider farm sounds lovely - reminds me of childhood in Devon and my first year at work when I lived in Hereford. Have a fabulous time; sounds just what is needed! blissysmile.gif

TDQO - Sounds like a fine solution to a bad day at the office... ;) Enjoy your carnivorous evening.

I don't know whether I will get much chance to be back on here before we go on hols, so I'll wish you all a lovely week.

Let's just hope I can cram my lovely new clothes in my bag! Plus all those essential books... packingmybags.gif We get the boat on Sunday tit.gif, then it's a bit of a trudge around France and Spain onvacation.gifand back on Monday 20th. It's our second wedding anniversary while we are away, so that should be a good excuse for a great night out.

Take care of yourselves, won't you? Wishing you fine specimens of the piscine variety, plenty of custard, bargainous buys, purses/wallets that don't open without considered permission, sunny days, low pollen counts, calm working environments, and lots of laughs. pi_sunglasses.gif

    See you soon x dogdance.gif

Happy happy hols Hollyberry & a very happy anniversary too :j

I too have the new glamour & hence book. I've had a quick glimpse at the fish today & have dismissed the lorry driver who cant spell without a hint of remorse.

There is a new potentially intresting one though. A medical man who is as wordy & sarcastic as myself. I'm half in love already :D. It's just such a shame that our locations mean that the most convenient of rendez vous would be at the services on the M3 . Dammit, the good ones are always too far & the scarily local ones are really quite disturbing.

I am avoiding my Quest again :o

Hi all, TDQ, it sounds like you have the perfect job (the bit where you don't have to go to work till 1pm:D)

Lula, I will get on to the shoe and clothes shopping as instructed. If the person who runs the clothes challenge thinks I need to, I really must be slacking:D Have you heard from Mr PoshTown? Did Mr Funny say he enjoyed the date? Any more crash inducing pics? We need our fish update!

Hollyberry and make up I hope you enjoy your hols, good luck with the packing hollyberry and £6 top sounds fabby;)

moo, I knew we could rely on you for an military precision quidco raid, will have to do it now you have made it sound so easy:D

Shoegal, have fun with crush man ;)

Not done much again today, had to have a nap when I got home from work as I didn't sleep well last night, have some holidays booked soon though so I will just keep going until then. Am off out with flatmates tomorrow so will need to spend tomorrow lazing about so I don't embarrass myself by having to leave at 10.30:o

    Hi sarah,

yes, I insist that you do some clothes shopping immediately, as to my knowledge you have still only spent £10 , it just isnt good enough :naughty::D

No word from Mr.Poshtown, the call yesterday was to apologise for previous blow out & to ask if he could call next week to rearrange date as busy helping out with family stuff this weekend .

Well, I say that but having bought that copy of glamour & spent half an hour reading it while DD was swimming ... I think I can safely say that I am already making excuses :o. I know, I know :( but I so want to be wrong as I really truly honestly believe that he has huge potential. It sounds utterly bonkers considering that so far we havent even met but the conversations we had were just so honest & natural & he ticks so many of my essential boxes. It's not even based on me fancying the pants off him - which I have to say is the usual scenario for one of my catastrophes , Mr.Campervan being a fine example  - it's just a feeling I have. I think I may need a sharp slap as could really get carried away with this.

I've really lost the plot moneywise too. I frequently get flyers from gardening, landscaping & pruning companies but tonight a chap actually knocked on the door offering to cut back the hedge by the house for £50. I said that I could do it myself thanks you but that he could quote for lopping, topping, thinning & whatever the 3 hugely overgrown confiers in my garden. Xbf & I attempted to deal with them last year but they're way beyond the height of the house & totally out of control. He said he would do them for £200 cash & remove all the debris & if there was any damage I didnt have to pay ... we shook on it & he's coming round on sunday

Of course £200 is the exact sum I have saved up towards the gas & electricity so my thinking was that with 0% card still unused I can always use that if unable to save up the £200 again before bill arrives ( no idea when it's due). Those trees have been bugging me for years, my neighbours complain frequently & I dont know of anyone personally who can deal with them so the way I see it is that's a job done & another worry dealt with.

haha Lula...getting carried away is very much the fun part...as long as you don't get too disappointed if it doesn't work out.:p
I spend my life imagining all sorts of scenarios and they NEVER even come close to reality! (not always a bad thing tho ;))

As an aside has anyone ever been speed dating or to one of those single dinner parties...i am considering it for a fun night out that may have the benefit of getting more friends or maybe even somehting else;).

    Hi!

Sarah - You've only spent 10 pounds on clothes all year?!?! I've spent more than that on underwear! Might explain how my CC is so high though...

Ziggles - I went speed dating once. It was interesting. My friends and I ended up absolutely sh1tfaced. It's probably for this reason I ended up going on a date afterwards with the wrong guy. Clearly I'd gotten a little confused with who was who as the night (and the wine) wore on. The quality of the girls was much higher than the guys, but it was a fun night out.

Lula - Just be careful. I've had that feeling myself. Convinced myself it was all so right and it most definitely wasn't. Good luck though and keep us posted!

In the meantime, I've also got myself a fish. A guy who's been emailing me for a little while, but to be honest I haven't been paying too much attention to. He's tall, v.easy on the eye, funny and got a good job. Downside - he's 9 years older than me. It's not a deal breaker, but if I was to write down my Mr Perfect, he'd be around my age. Anyway, we're only emailing, so we'll just see what happens.

    Gwenx

Gwen good luck with your fish!! Sounds like I need to get into this fishing malarky a bit more. Having the odd look now and again isn't getting me into a conversation with anyone. I think I may have to add a photo, although that's probably more likely to scare them off haha! But to be honest I wouldn't bother looking at anybody's profile if they didn't have a pic either.

Ziggles..I've never been to speed dating but I do know somebody who has and she's due to get married to the fella next year and they have children together. I'm very cynical when it's comes to love/relationships and all that but these two are a perfect couple. I was quite shocked when she told me that was how she met him but it was nice to know there are actually some normal, handsome, lovely men that go to these events.
The only thing I've done is the POF singles night and there wasn't 1 bloke there worth chatting up but a fair few really pretty girls. It as still a great night though.

Lula... Good luck with Mr Poshtown! Time will tell and until then if you think he's worth giving a chance to then you go girl ! Also I hope the guy coming to sort out your garden is atleast half good looking, although I suspect if he was we'd know about it by now.

Sarah.. well done on only spending £10 on clothes :j:j Even I've spent more than that this year and I'm not even addicted to shopping :p

Hollyberry I hope you have a lovely holiday and have managed to fit in all your clothes/books!!!

Makeup, I hope you have a good weekend, Sounds like great fun!!

TDQ... Hope you've had a good night in, I was going to ask what movies did you watch but I'm not sure if I'd wanna know!! ;)
