Morning all & thanks for messages of support & encouragement. I am fine & the cold light of day always makes things seem more amusing so I'm just chalking it up as another experience/frog before that prince appears NB - there was NO kissing involved though. Have a friend coming round in a bit but will pop back when I can to reveal the actual events. I'm avidly reading the book now ;)

    speak soon

Afternoon all, Lula hope your ok, I went on a few dates with guys I'd met on a dating site and the nerves were unreal, nothing ever came of it, cos as soon as I'd clapped eyes on them I realised we didn't have any chemistry, but I'm sure I read somewhere you have to go on 20 dates before you meet the right one, so I decided seen as my count wasn't nearly so high, and I wasn't sure I was even into double figures I should persevere.

Buffy did they play 80's music at the over 30's disco, there's a pub in York that does and it's packed.

I'm supposed to be out in the garden picking raspberries again but I'm getting bored off the damn things, I've tons of scratches on my arms I look like I've been self harming, but I've some gooseberies to pick so thought i'd do a crumble with them, and have it with custard for tea.

    Hi All

    I'm back!!!

I had a fab time. We stayed in a gorgeous B&B in Herefordshire and spent out time drinking cider, shopping in a big way (so many cute shops), and eating.

We visited Leominster, Ross on Wye and Ludlow and all of them were lovely.

I also got a Marian Keys book for 20p at a fete in a church in Leominster! Bargain! :j

It was a lot of fun chatting with my friends and we laughed a LOT!

We hired a car for the weekend and picking it up was a complete nightmare. We queued for over an hour and then on picking up were sold extra insurance. Turns out the excess is £550 and so to have zero excess we had to pay an extra £30. Then they have some thing about paying for a tank of fuel upfront. Upshot was that the car cost nearly double!!!

There were three of us so wasn't horrendous but still!!!

It was with alamo and their service was awful and I was fuming about all these hidden extras. I was really shirty with the girl - but for good reason. We had booked the car for 2 days and 2 hours so had to pay for a full days worth of insurance for the 2 hours  However by this point we were only hiring the car for 2 days and 1 hour so we asked if we brought the car back early so had it for exactly 2 days surely the insurance would be cheaper.

Oh no...if you have insurance for 3 or more days it is £8 per day, for 2 or less days it is £13 per day. So the same either way

Such a rip off, I knew I should have read Martin's money thing properly on hiring a car. I'm going to be more prepared next time.

Lula - hope you're ok and that things aren't so bad after a nights sleep.

    Ziggles - 30 isn't that bad ;)

Buffy - Oh dear, sounds like it was a bit of a dead loss? Hope they played some 80's stuff as Eco suggested!!

Eco - I love gooseberries. And I love crumble. And I love custard. MMM sounds delicious!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hey Sarah

Well done on weightloss and also all those treatments. I should try some sort of Shoegal Goddess style plan I think...I certainly have enough products to do it!!

I've got a Dead Sea Mud Mask thing that a friend brought me back from Israel. Sounds like would leave skin lovely, but it is an all over thing. And you have to leave it on for about 15 mins. I'm not entirely sure what I do for 15 mins while covered in Dead Sea Mud? I mean I can't sit down or anything, can't leave bathroom....I suppose just stand still for that time like an idiot????

Just hope there isn't an emergency!!!!

Well done Buffy:D Due to my previous addiction to the Boots thread I have a drawer which is actually bowing due to the weight of the toiletries in it:o I have only had to buy deodorant, toothpaste and hairspray this year and I still have loads to get through. :o
