Hi makeup, No DD isn't a mascot this Saturday. (even though I think she should be lol) I can't wait, I love the drive to Blackpool it's about 1hr 15mins. I've hardly got any money so I'm just going to take a picnic and hopfully if it's nice we'll have a few hours on the beach. If not it'll be a car picnic and maybe a visit to the sealife centre.

Hollyberry... when is it that you go on your holidays? I hate packing..but it is oooohhhhhhhh sooooooooooo worth it!!

Talking of holiday's Lula, are you on countdown yet?? It surely can't be too far off yours. Is it just you and DD2 going??

Hi Inkycats.. How are you doing??? I really like your sig by the way.I ought to try and remember it! I really do take life too seriously but I wish I didn't.

Sarah I hope work has not been too bad for you today and you're having a much better day than yesterday.

Lula I hope tomorrow's trip to the seaside goes well, I'll be thinking of you, and probably feeling really nervous coz I seem to for other people?!

Firstly good luck Lula with your picnic, starting as friends is probably better then there won't be as much pressure.

Bowski I know what you mean about rugby games, the tight t shirts and all that muscle, well worth going to watch, shame your DD can't be a mascot again.

Wish I was going on hols but i decided at the beginging of the year saving for a new car would be worth it, and it's not like I don't go places, but next year will rent a cottage again.

Thanks for all the messages of good luck, I'm trying to turn over a new leaf and be more honest with people and not keep them at arms length cos it hasn't got me far up till now, so hopefully it will. Although I find it strange when he say's he's missed me like 10 times and I forget about been nice and say are you ill cos you keep repeating yourself and it's getting boring. I will stop that bad habit I have to. I'm off to reread the thread cos I know I've missed some stuff.

    Hi Bowski :hello:

Signature was pinched from a guy I used to work with a few years back - he always used to have it a the bottom of his e-mails !

I'm ok-ish bit ho-hum, I'm temping at the moment but the job is a bit mundane, I'm used to being a whole lot busier, I suppose I shouldn't complain, at least I'm working.
Should go into the agency & push for something else but the "consultants" p*ss me off 'cos they don't actually know anything about accountancy, I never get how you can work in a recruitment agency for accountancy & not even have a basic understanding of accounts

Other than that I'm fine, Friday tomorrow :j, nothing in particular planned for the weekend, so just going to potter around :D

Enjoy the rugby on Sunday & happy perving, especially all those nice muscular thighs :p

InkyCats, hope the job situation improves soon, I have done temping and I hated it.

eco, great news about you and your ex, hope everything goes well and remember to keep us updated.:j

Bowski, the trip to Blackpool sounds fab, hope you get to do as much perving as possible:D

Not done much today, did some research into new job so I look knowledgable if I get an interview:D and arranged another night out with flatmates for the weekend.

    Jeeez what a day

Horrendous drive to visit Mr. Funny - the A24 is a pig of a road with miles of unnecessary speed cameras

Mr. Funny was very sweet, very funny but as I suspected, there was no chemistry. I would however, be happy to remain frineds with him as I think he is quite possibly the last nice guy on earth who genuinely just want to have female friends. I doubt I'll be wanting to drive up & down that road very often though so it may remain a distant friendship.

This meet was however, overshadowed by other 'events'.

Having made a complete tit of myself with Mr. Gorgeous Body last night I decided to contact Mr. CamperVan :doh:to cheer myself up . He was very friendly, quite posh sounding & keen to meet up in the future. Pah  .

This morning as I was hacking around the M25 I heard my phone bleep to say I had a text. Although I never use my phone while driving, being a mummy means I just cant ignore it in case DD has injured herself. Well in future she may have to wait because I damn nearly crashed. There on the screen was photographic evidence of Mr.CamperVan in all his 'glory'.

I still cant believe it now actually. Needless to say I ignored it. Later on he sent me another one to ask whether I'd liked it . My eventual response included words like reporting , obscene, sexual harassment & police.

    Anyway moving on ...

I did log on to the 'freak show' to thank Mr. Funny for the picnic & discovered that I'd had a message from Mr. Posh Town . He was so sorry about the lunch, has been bedridden for days with a virus, couldnt find my number & please could I send it to him so he can ring me next week to apologise in person & rearrange another date. Thanks for being so sweet & understanding ...

I like him :o. I called him :o, he referred to our previous conversations; remembering details that show he was actually listening. He said he would call next week ... I know , but I just get a feeling about him. The original conversation was so genuine & natural, he comes across as very independent & grown up & I dont think he'd put up with any of my flibberty nonsense. I like him & I think he's been on his own for too long so will provide a real challenge ... I do need a challenge - it's no fun if they just fall at your feet now is it.

I grant permission to beat me over the head with a large stick now & when it all goes horribly wrong, to say "we did try to tell you."

    Dammit, player's getting played

    So, how's everyone else then ? :D

    Evening all.

Inky - I don't think this is restricted to accountancy agencies. A friend of mine works in Investor Relations and had a nightmare with the agencies. Really had no idea of the industry at all.

I bought this months Glamour today and has a free copy of 'He's just not that into you' - I've started reading it and I'm loving it.

It's written in sections like 'but he's really busy' and goes through scenarios and shows why they are nuts. It is very true really, I had an ex who never called me and I'd say 'well of course he is very busy'. However at the time I was working in a very busy environment when I simply couldn't have my phone on and was working very long hours. But I still had breaks and I would still call him on my breaks. So kinda proves that no matter how busy you are - you have time to make a call or send a text :mad:

I'm so cross that I put up with that !!!!!! for so long.

It's a good read though, I'm gonna have a bath soon and read some more!

Sarah - :j for researching new job. I'm a big fan of imagining yourself in the job and doing the research really helps I think.

Pink - you haven't been around lately. Hope all is well and you are either lurking or you've been whisked off on a luxury mini-break by George Clooney
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hi!

Seems to be v.quiet on here at the moment. I'm feeling a bit poorly sick, so cheering myself up with a LOTR DVD. The first one, especially the jolly bit at the beginning in The Shire always cheer me up, lol. Not been v.proactive at all on the money saving front recently. I know I have spent a lot on groceries this month, my cupboards, fridge and freezer are all v.full. I'm trying to be careful though, not to waste anything and plan meals with what I have.

Other than that I discovered today that Oasis have made a mistake with a return I did of some items I ordered on the internet. When I went into the store to return the items, they said they were trialling a new system where they put the items in a bag and sent them off to be returned. I just handed them over. There must have been a mistake though, as they have refunded an item I still have and they haven't took off the extra 15% I got off the items, so technically they have paid me nearly 2 pounds to have a scarf and a vest top - not a bad deal. If only they would pay me to have more of their clothes... I thought about correcting them, but then thought they peed me off so much as I had to drive for miles to pick up that damn parcel, so I haven't. Does that make me v.bad?

Meanwhile 55p has tracked on quidco - woohoo!! This cashback malarkey is too slow for my liking.

Sarah, I hope you don't mind me asking, but what sort of things do you do to make your extra 10 pounds a day? Maybe I should join a challenge like that.

I'm going to get my moneysaving socks back on this weekend though, look for a new broadband deal, a new mortgage and try and list some things on Amazon.

    Gwenx

Oh my God Lula!!! Blimey, it's all happening. Maybe Mr Posh gets one more chance, but don't take any nonsense from him. Maybe he was a bit scared. I know I freak out if I meet somebody I like.
