    :DHi Gwen

Glad you had such a fab weekend - and that you are feeling a bit flat now!

Do you have anything else to look forward to now?

    Hi!

Didn't think anybody was about, so I left. Loads to catch up on. I tried to read most of the posts, but didn't manage all of them. The mood seems to be a bit down and I'm afraid I'm not feeling much better. I think it's down to tiredness, hormones and a sense anti-climax after the weekend for the most part. Also haven't had a good time at work over the last couple of weeks and am finding myself sitting at my desk a lot of the time thinking 'I hate my job, I hate my job, I hate my job...' It doesn't help that since that guy blew up at me, I feel really tense and uncomfortable around him and I have to work quite closely with him.

Ok, the lowdown on the weekend...Take That were amazing. It was an incredible show. Gave me goosebumps on several occasions, it was so amazing. I was *slightly* disappointed with our seats though, but other than that it was fabulous. Wimbledon was absolutely awesome. I've never been before, but the atmosphere is great. I'd prefer to try to remain anonymous on here (although PM me if you're interested...I just don't want other folks wandering on here, who might know me to realise who I am), but we were on TV a few times as we were pretty close to the court and the players. The match was great (as you saw), but I REALLY wanted Andy to win. Poor guy, I just wanted to give him a hug when he was stood there with the plate. I definitely want to go to Wimbledon again as it was fantastic to see all the places I've grown up seeing on TV, but I honestly don't think any experience will top that one now (unless I'm jammy enough to get to another final). It was the best weekend, but now I'm back and it's back to work and reality, plus I'm skint which probably isn't helping the mood!!

makeup - I'm sorry the fire affected you so much. It was quite shocking to hear about it on the news. I was in a house fire (although thankfully I got out pretty early) earlier this year. It was very scary, you don't ever think it will happen to you. I know it's probably irrelevant to the poor people in those flats (I really hope there's a thorough investigation going on), but I'd urge everybody to check their smoke alarms every week - it's so, so important. Also, get a fire extinguisher. If I'd had one, I could have tackled the fire when it was still a tiny flame. It would have saved so much hassle with insurance not to mention the fire brigade putting themselves at risk. They were so professional though, I have even more respect for firemen (and women) now.

Sarah - Fingers crossed for the job. As regards relationships, I've also been wondering how some people have it so easy recently. Some people just find other people so easily and can go from one relationship to another without blinking almost.

FeeFee - Well done on being sub 5k!

Hugs for everybody else who needs them.

    Gwenx

    Hey Gwen,

Glad you had a good time. I didn't watch much of the match but did scan the crowds a bit looking for someone who looked F Fabulous!

Sorry things are a bit down afterwards - it must be a bit like the holiday blues (when you get back to work after a holiday)

And big sympathies on the job. I would find that really difficult to deal with too, no good advice sadly but imagine one of those dodgy hugs (I'm rubbish on any emoticon that isn't on the right!)

Sorry to hear you were in a fire - can't imagine how scary that must have been.

I can't understand how the fire spread so quickly and I know there is a massive investigation as there should have been an hours worth of protection before the fire jumped floors.

Thanks everyone for your support - it is really helpful.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

That is shocking! Glad there is an investigation underway. I think sometimes it's easy to take the safety of our surroundings for granted as we live in such a developed country, but sadly it seems you can't.

    Take care, makeup.

Don't mind the same corner as long as it's not the same man:D

I do try to keep reminding myself that you don't know what;s round the corner. Some days I am better at it than others. 2 glasses of wine + hormones + hate job + checked online banking + tired + lonely = not one of those days.

    OK ladies

I'm off - I've been waiting up to watch the Torchwood repeat on BBC3.

Goodnight and may tomorrow bring wonderful men lurking around every corner waiting especially for independent and fabulous women such as ourselves... (and vice versa for any men who are lurking)
I've got my own flat :j:j

No. I was thinking about that this morning. Even less impressed.

That's not good. I love M&S and I want them to sort it out, I hate it when a favourite shop doesn't deal with things properly, hence my dislike of Tesco and the fact that I only go there now if it benefits me.
