Sarah - I've just noticed that we are at 101 pages. Is it time for a new thread?
I think that there was a great new thread subtitle a few pages back, but I absolutely can't remember it.0 -
Hi!
Internet dating is a rather weird thing I think Lula. It feels to me, sometimes like shopping for a boyfriend. Such a shame we cant do it through Quidco :rotfl:
You can sort of dismiss people on all sorts of things. Yep, I'm deleting anyone who smokes or is under 5ft 10Of course, in real life if you met them through friends or work or whatever, you'd get to know them properly. It's a bit harsh sometimes, but then other people are dong exactly the same to you. I've certainly developed a thicker skin I think from doing it.
I would like a guy who enjoys sport.Me too
I don't want to have to entertain someone all the time Quite
and I think separate interests are healthy.I just don't want to be dragged round the country every weekend to watch some football team. OMG no _pale_ If they enjoyed any other sport I'd be happy with that. Especially Formula One, I'd really like to go to a Grand Prix (if they still exist, lol). Hmmmm I think we're needing the same man  perhaps we need to mark out some borders ... :rotfl:
Anyway, better get my butt into gear and get something done.
Gwenx
Have a nice day

The last thread got to around 5000 posts before it was closed, I think we are allowed to get away with longer threads on this board. Evening
The internet dating thing is a great resource for some people but I think while I'm still young enough to be going out clubbing without looking wierd I'll abstain.
I'm flying back to Oz tomorrowGot one last night out tonight though so I'm off for a shower and to tart myself up
The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha
I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.0 -

I've never really had a list and my exes were all pretty different.
I don't have a height thing on my list...I'm 5'8" and if I specified taller than me in heels I'd have to cut out a lot of guys. I've gone out men the same height as me and I don't really mind.
I was so pleased when I got with my ex as he was about 6'4" and so could wear my highest heels with no issues - except that because he was tall he walked really quickly (one of his strides was about 3 of mine) and I couldn't keep up in my heels at all and he would get cross in having to wait for me. He definitely didn't appreciate my fabulous fashion sense.
My list would be:
Nice person
Likes travelling
Doesn't tell me what to do or even worse how to do things that I can do perfectly well myself
Has no fixed idea on what womens / mens jobs are (I'm nothing like a 50's housewife)
Does interesting stuff
No Toryboys
Pref no kids
But number one most important thing is:
NO FREAKIN DRAMA
I'm too old for not calling, for saying things then changing mind and not telling me, for with-holding information, for all the game playing......
I'm torn on the sport thing, I'm not a fan of many sports really and so many of my pals end up watching rugby, football etc as their OH's love it. and the conversations are soooooo dull - my office is full of footy fans and it drives me insane. All I know about Ronaldo is that he was snapped in LA wearing short pink shorts...I'm happy to discuss that! But no one mentions that in the endless conversations they've been having about him over the past week!!!!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
It's fantastic - I read it on holiday and loved it! And you definately deserve after all the tooth stuff
OMG - it was sooo good. I read it all day yesterday - took about 7 / 8 hours but didn't want to put it down and just stopped to heat up a risotto and then mac & cheese (all soft food!)
There was a fab bit in there where one of the characters was talking about not having kids and it was EXACTLY how I feel.Hollyberry wrote: »I'm absolutely with you on the separate interests, and it does give you a chance to have some "me" time. I sometimes go on the away trips so that I can go shopping/meet a friend/go to somewhere on my "must see" list while OH is at the match.Anyone who has a Premiership team nearby, and fancies a coffee next season, let me know.
Hey Hollyberry, I'm in London so if your OH is ever visiting Chelski / Arsenal or any of the others (I've no idea who is in Premiership - Fulham?? West Ham?? Millwall??) let me know. Would love to do coffee!!
